FULL TIME. A win for England, and an easy one at that. The Netherlands offered nothing, and England should have had a penalty too. Are England... good?
There will be four minutes of added time.
- OffStefan de VrijNetherlands
- OnWout WeghorstNetherlands
Weghorst and Van de Beek on.
- OffHarry MaguireEngland
- OnEric DierEngland
Maguire off, Dier on.
Maguire is oddly skillful as he attacks down the left, but then goes from upright to horizontal almost instantly as he planks to the ground.
Five minutes left, and Hatebour squeezes a shot past Stones, the shot deflected towards Pickford who can stop easily.
Depay swings the ball over the wall, with a well hit effort, but it's straight at Pickford in the end.
Stones barges into the back of Babel, 25 yards out from goal, centrally placed.
10 minutes left.
Van Dijk picks out Depay, and the Netherlands look for an opening in the England defence, camped by their box.
Memphis stands one up to Hatebour on the right of the box, but Young intercepts with a header.
Here's the goal.
England are happy enough on the ball in defence. The Netherlands have been starkly disappointing so far tonight, offering almost nothing.
Depay fouls up a shot at goal from distance, and it bobbles along to Pickford.
- OffDanny RoseEngland
- OnAshley YoungEngland
Rose off, Young on.
The Netherlands have enjoyed most of the ball since the goal, but England are currently hanging onto the lead happily enough.
- OffMarcus RashfordEngland
- OnJamie VardyEngland
Welbeck, Vardy and Alli on for Sterling, Lingard and Rashford.
- OffBas DostNetherlands
- OnRyan BabelNetherlands
The Netherlandss bring on Babel and Propper for Dost and Promes.
Memphis pulls it back for Wijnaldum's run, he scuffs a shot at Dost, and his flick at goal is too slow to upset Pickford.
Dost and Depay swap passes until it's worked to Promes, whose shot from distance is deflected over the bar. Rose has been poor despite the earlier assist.
Zoet failed to make a decent go of that, missing the ball when it was easier to just stretch his arm out.
- GoalJesse LingardEngland
GOAL! Netherlands 0-1 England. Lingard scores - Rose receives the ball from Lingard on teh overlap. Rose's cross is low, deflected out, and Lingard runs onto it to slot home for his first England goal.
Maguire nods a ball into the box, Henderson and Sterling then recreate Hungry Hippos, smashing the ball at one another until the referee blows for handball.
Rashford runs onto a ball just inside, the box, De Ligt trips him with a lunge, and he should have been given a penalty there. Rashford anticipated the trip, used it, and was denied by refereeing incompetence.
De Vrij turns the ball into the net after some strong approach play from Memphis, but the linesman already has his flag up.
Sterling breaks, finds Rashford, and he gets it back. He picks out Rose on the left, but he drifts a cross to the back post where nobody is, wasting an excellent move.
The Dutch are playing the ball about defence. Depay finds Van Aanholt, but Trippier jogs across to put the ball out for a throw.
Zoet picks up a deflected pass after England dither outside the Netherlands' box.

We go again.
- End of 1st Half
Memphis is fed the ball with a pass inside, but he clips a loose shot at goal from distance. Pickford saves easily, and that's half time.
Three minutes of added time to come.
Rashford bursts down the left, running half the length of the pitch, and then De Ligt just catches up and dinks the ball away from him.
Three minutes of normal time left in this half. It's not been a classic, I'll level with you.
Van Aanholt slips in Depay, and he absolutely Bebes a cross miles over everyone in the box.
Lingard gives Sterling one to chase, and Zoet rushes out to get the ball and then clean out the Man City man, who picks himself up after a moment's soreness.
Trippier races forward, he dinks a pass over the top for Rashford to chase, but it's just out of range, and the 'keeper receives the ball chested back to him.
Oxlade-Chamberlain finds Lingard, he gives it back, who picks out Trippier to volley a first-time cross, but the 'keeper dives straight onto it.
Henderson meets Walker's free kick, he glances a header at the near post, but it drifts just wide with Rashford closing in.
Sterling scoots forward to get a ball forward, but his first pass is blocked. Trippier picks it up and he sends in another poor one. On the other side, Hatebour fouls Rose near the touchline. Free kick.
England keep the pressure on, and Sterling's shot is blocked to win a corner on the left. Maguire nods it down, De Ligt boots it out.
Walker finds Trippier, and back again. England are keeping the ball well enough, out to Trippier to cross from the right, and it's way too high.
Rose holds off Promes to allow Pickford to dive down for the ball.
England race forward, but the ref gives a foul to the Netherlands after Walker is fouled. I've no idea what's going on there.
De Ligt gets ahead of Rashford, drives forward from deep and sends a long-range shot at goal that Pickford dives to his right to save.
The Netherlands have possession high up on the right, but lose it for a throw, and the ball is played back to their 'keeper.
Sterling jinks into the box, pulls it back for Lingard, and his shot from the edge of the area is deflected just wide of goal.
Memphis teams up with Strootman to keep the ball around England's half, but they're forced back to the defence.
"Virgil" sends the ball out left for Van Aanholt, but the ball runs out of play.
- OffJoe GomezEngland
- OnHarry MaguireEngland
Trippier puts the ball out of play on the right to allow Maguire to jog on as replacement for Gomez.
Hateboer's cross is deflected into the box, and Pickford rushes out to claimm it at the near post.
Oxlade-Chamberlain tees up a shot from the right of the box after a forceful run, but a well-struck shot goes straight at the 'keeper.
Gomez went down a moment ago after falling awkwardly, and is down again now. He might have hurt his ankle.
Rose is OK to continue for now.
Hateboer barges into Rose on the wing, and sends him to the ground for treatment. He might not be able to keep going, because it was a big old wallop.
- 1st Half
The match gets underway.
I'm predicting a 2-0 win for England tonight.
You can send your comments to @lxndrnthrtn.
The Netherlands haven't qualified for the World Cup - this is Koeman's chance to start rebuilding his side for the European Championships in 2020.
Gareth Southgate has recently told Boris Johnson that he isn't interested in his views, which is probably sensible.
The England side has a view players who are yet to settle into the international side. Jordan Pickford is probably England's number one for the foreseeable future. Joe Gomez is yet to prove himself at Liverpool, though he shows promise.
Of the Dutch side, you will probably recognise Virgil van Dijk, Patrick van Aanholt, Giorginio Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay, but Promes and Stefan de Vrij could both be on their way to the Premier League this summer - although De Vrij is almost certain to jump ship to Inter Milan.
Not to say that they won't eventually be improved, but the first elevens of both these sides are a study in why little is expected of either of them these days. Perhaps the only outstanding talents on the pitch tonight are Raheem Sterling and Marcus Rashford, and the pair of them have plenty to learn yet.
Netherlands: Zoet; Hateboer, Van Dijk, De Ligt, De Vrij, Van Aanholt; Strootman, Wijnaldum; Memphis, Dost, Promes. /// England: Pickford, Trippier, Rose, Walker, Stones, Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Henderson, Rashford, Sterling, Lingard.
