Modric has been close to his brilliant best tonight and he helps Croatia win another corner. Vida is penalised for a foul on Tielemans just as the Real Madrid star delivered the set-piece.

Carrasco should score! Having hit the crossbar in the first half, Carrasco really should be on the scoresheet now, as he controls a cross from the right flank but his shot from close range is always rising and fails to test Livakovic.

Save! And here he is, Gvardiol drives down the left and delivers a dangerous cross. Petkovic arrives late in the box to meet it but fails to generate enough power in his header to beat Courtois. That's Croatia's first shot on target.

It may be a 'friendly' game but the tackles are certainly flying in, no one is holding back in either side.
47'
This is Gvardiol's international debut and he can play at left-back but also at centre-back. A big career with Croatia is expected.

Half-time: Belgium take a deserved lead into the half-time break thanks to Romelu Lukaku's close-range effort in the 38th-minute.

Just the one minute to be added on at the end of the first half.

Lukaku has been excellent so far and now wins Belgium another free-kick. You just wonder how long Martinez will keep his star man on the pitch tonight.

GOAL! Belgium 1-0 Croatia (Romelu Lukaku): The opening goal has been coming and it's absolutely no surprise that it's Lukaku who grabs it. Croatia fail to clear their lines from a corner, Mertens keeps it alive as he floats a cross to the far post, Vertonghen rises highest to nod it on, Denayer wins his header and Lukaku hooks it home from point-blank range.

Carrasco is swarmed by Croatian defenders but does well to get a shot away, although it's comfortable for Livakovic.

Barisic gets a knock to the face as he clears the corner and must leave the field for treatment for a bloodied nose. Croatia are temporarily down to 10 men.

Well, that's one way to stop him. Lukaku is fouled by Caleta-Car as Belgium win a free-kick in a dangerous central area. Mertens slams the resulting free-kick into the wall but wins a corner.

Save! Lukaku looks like he's in the mood tonight as he controls a difficult ball, makes the space to get a shot away from the angle and forces Livakovic into a save.

Off the woodwork, twice! Oh my, how have Belgium not scored?! It's a chance out of nothing really as Lukaku controls a long ball on his chest, swivels and gets a shot away from 25 yards. It crashes off the woodwork and on the follow-up Carrasco then sees his header bounce off the crossbar.
29'
Tielemans has a chance to get a shot away but instead opts to pass and gives possession away. Moments later, Mertens win Belgium another corner. Again, it fails to trouble Croatia's defence.
28'
After a slow start, Belgium have settled and are looking the more likely to open the scoring. They're hunting in packs and making life difficult for Croatia.

Vertonghen gets forward and wins a free-kick right next to the corner flag. It's sent in by Carrasco but it's a very comfortable catch for Livakovic.
