The Manchester United midfielder has relieved himself of his famous full-bodied hair-cut.

He revealed the fresh trim on social media, with the message: "New year, new look #birthdaytomorrow".

And no-one is sure quite what to make of it… including his Belgium team-mates.

Vincent Kompany, the Manchester City centre-back wrote: 'It's Photoshopped, it can't be true!", while Dries Mertens was simply in disbelief.

In general, fans were shocked and joked it might detract from his performances on the pitch.
