Mallorca have accused Real Madrid's celebrations after drawing with Zaragoza as "disrespectful" and stated that Real president Ramon Calderon is serving as a motivation for them in the final Liga game of the season.
Real celebrated as if they had just won the title after Ruud van Nistelrooy's late equaliser - and Espanyol's immediate leveller against Barcelona - put Fabio Capello's men back on top and only needing to equal Barcelona's performance at Nastic next weekend to seal the title.
But Real's opponents on Sunday are furious that Los Merengues appeared to assume they would win at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"They have underestimated Mallora," Argentine midfielder Guillermo Pereyra told Marca. "And not just the players, also the assumptions of local press and the celebrations of the president [calderon].
"I really believe that they have failed to respect Mallorca."
Barcelona forward Leo Messi has defended his club's to pay Mallorca bonuses should they beat Real Madrid.
