‘N’Golo Kante was scared’ – Eden Hazard’s hilarious reason for scoring winner

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard joked that he only scored against Liverpool to save team-mate N’Golo Kante from taking a penalty in the shootout.

Hazard netted a sensational winner in the Carabao Cup third round clash at Anfield, beating five players and arrowing a shot into the corner.
However, the Belgian admitted it was a conversation with Kante on the substitutes’ bench that spurred him to individual brilliance.
“I spoke with N’Golo on the bench and he told me he didn’t want to take a penalty, so the only solution was to score,” he told Sky Sports.
Kante came off the bench with his side trailing 1-0, so imagine his heartbreak when Emerson equalised… and then his ecstasy when Hazard pops up with the winner five minutes later.
N’Golo’s next task: tell Hazard he’s scared of not winning the Premier League…
