Ancelotti looks to be persisting with his makeshift side and why not, they have been impressive.
CHANCE! Touray's cross from the left is met by Henderson whose header is well wide.
GOOD SAVE! Gordon with a low effort from 12 yards well saved.
Yellow for Thomas-Asante for a late challenge on Kenny.
CLOSE! Nkounkou with another lovely ball into the box for Walcott who slides in but cannot get a toe on it.
Will Anceloti's side rue those missed chances? They should have put this game to bed.

Asante's shot on the turn is deflected over by Digne. Corner to the visitors, it is eventually cleared.
CLOSE! A cross comes in for Towell who snatches at a shot instead of waiting for it to come down.
WHAT A MISS! Gordon bursts into the box, cuts it back to Bernard who somehow fails to find the target from ten yards.

It has been a similar pattern from the first half, Everton on top. Is surprising Salford did not make a change at the break.

CROSSBAR! Lovwly cross from Sigurdsson to Kean who rattles the bar with a header from six yards, he should have scored from there.

HALF TIME: Everton have dominated and lead 1-0 courtesy of Keane's towering header from a corner on 9 minutes. Salford have improved defensively but need to get Wilson in the game more.
Brilliant tracking back and defending from Towell to tackle Gordon, he has worked his socks off.
TOP SAVE! Bernard with a curling long-ranger which is brilliantly saved for a corner. Salford deal with the corner.
Salford have defended much better, particularly from crosses in open play. They need to sort out who marks Keane from set pieces though.
CHANCE! Gordon's effort deflects wide for a corner. The outswinging delivery finds Keane but its well wide.
Nkounkou finds Gordon who cannt tee up Kean. Nkounkou has been one of the positives for the Toffees.
The final ball is letting the visitors down, they have had a few decent opportunities in around the box.
Kean is getting an ice pack on his head after a collision, he is okay to continue.
Towell tries to find Wilson but its a poor ball. The ex United striker hasnt been in the game.

Sigurdsson has sprayed some lovely long balls in this first half for Walcott and Kean.
Digne is on and looks to be playing as a centre-back.
Branthwaite looks to have a knee or Achilles injury, he is coming off.

CLOSE! Bernard's cross finds Walcott whose header goes over with the keeper in no man's land, he should have done better from there.
CHANCE! Direct start from the visitors. Hunter tees up Lowe who leans back as he fires the ball over the bar from the edge of the box.
Keane, who has seen a lot of the ball in the early stages, will be among the senior players looking to impress tonight along with Walcott. Kean needs to shine too.
