Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that the pair have tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday morning. Tuchel said: "Yes unfortunately, Thiago Silva and Kante have tested positive. It’s huge for us because they are two huge players. We had the last information today in the morning, so it is quite challenging, but we will push. The guys who are here have our trust and our belief."

A reminder that the semi-final second leg is on January 12 with the final set to take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, February 27.

"I'm happy he is on the pitch today," Tuchel said pre-match. "We can listen to his interview a hundred times and it will not get better.
