What an end to the match in Gran Canaria! Las Palmas looked to have snatched a point right at the end only for the hosts to lose their cool and lose their man from a corner kick, allowing Casemiro to hit right back. Great match, but Real Madrid were lucky to claim all three points.

THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE EQUALISER! Bigas did so well to break to the byline and send a cross into Araujo but the striker couldn't get over the ball and heads over the bar.

Las Palmas have thrown on their wildcard now. Araujo was their top scorer in the Segunda Division last season but has struggled to make much of an impact in the top flight.

This is quite remarkable to watch. Real Madrid are holding on for the points here, against Las Palmas! Their away record has been poor, but this isn't much better, despite the lead.

As things are Real Madrid are having to play on the counter attack. This is the kind of play that Benitez was slammed for, so will Zidane get away with it? Probably. Because he's Zidane.

That's a bit of a strange decision from Zidane. There was the feeling that Bale was coming on to a game in the last 15 minutes or so, but he has been taken off for Jese.
