Antoine Griezmann set to decide Atletico Madrid future in 'The Decision' stunt
Antoine Griezmann is set to finally confirm his future at Atletico Madrid - to stay or to leave - and it will be in a LeBron James-style stunt referred to as 'The Decision'.
In what is being billed as a 'stunning revelation', Griezmann will make the announcement on his future just two days before France begin their World Cup campaign.
The 27-year-old, who currently has a €100m release clause, has had persistent speculation over a potential move away from the Wanda Metropolitano.
In a recorded video posted on social media, Griezmann said of the announcement that he is simply wanting to reveal the truth.
"You're fed up with all the talk, am I going? Am I staying? How much they will pay me? How much they won't pay me.
" But the truth is what I am going to say now..."
The tease is part of a promotion by Movistar Plus, who have billed it as 'The Decision', with the hashtag #LaDecision on social media.
The concept behind Griezmann the video comes from LeBron James' "The Decision" from 2010, where he revealed publicly that he would join the Miami Heat.
The Frenchman scored 29 goals in all competitions for Atleti with Diego Simeone's men winning the Europa League.
