That was a tough one for Barcelona. They could have lost their unbeaten league record at the Balaidos. Celta Vigo made things very tricky for the Catalans, with Aspas the best outfield player on the pitch. Barca have a lot to thank Ter Stegen for. He made some great saves.

- End of 2nd Half
FULL TIME: Celta Vigo 2-2 Barcelona
Is there one last chance left in this match? It's actually Barcelona who are coming forward in stoppage time through Messi. Celta win it back and attack on the counter themselves.
THAT WAS THE MOMENT! Ter Stegen comes off his line to smother shot at the feet of Boye after he was released clean through on goal! The German keeper just saved his team.
- Yellow cardJonny CastroRC Celta
That's a bad challenge on Vidal and the referee is quick to get the card out of his pocket.
Barcelona are holding on now. They hav a few minutes left to regroup and protect their unbeaten Liga record. They are aiming to become the first Spanish side to go the whole season without losing.
Well, this will be an interesting finish to this match. Keep in mind that Barcelona are down to 10 men and now Celta Vigo have the momentum behind them. Can the hosts complete the fightback?
- GoalIago AspasRC Celta
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Celta Vigo 2 (83 mins - Iago Aspas) Barcelona 2. The hosts have an equaliser! Aspas attacked the near post from a More cross and bundles the ball home after Ter Stegen failed to punch clear! Barcelona's unbeaten Liga record is at reak risk of disappearing now!
WEAK EFFORT FROM RADOJA! Oh that should have tested Ter Stegen much more than it did in the end. The shot from Radoja was straight at the Barcelona goalkeeper.
INTO THE SIDE NETTING! Straight off the bench, More is played into the left hand channel and in behind the Barca defence, but he goes for the near post and strikes the side netting.
- OffPione SistoRC Celta
- OnEmre MorRC Celta
Another change for the home side. They need to find their groove quickly after all these changes which have disrupted things.
- Yellow cardDaniel WassRC Celta
Wass is shown a yellow card for a high foot. That's slightly harsh on him. There wasn't much in that.
- OffJozabedRC Celta
- OnNemanja RadojaRC Celta
Celta Vigo also made a change a few minutes ago. They are doing their best to chase this game. Very open, now.
- OffOusmane DembéléFC Barcelona
- OnAleix VidalFC Barcelona
Barcelona make their final change of the night, with Vidal coming on for Dembele.
Messi replaced Coutinho when he came off the bench after 60 minutes. Does that change indicate that the Brazilian playmaker might start the Copa del Rey final this weekend?
Aspas has really come on to a game in this second half. The Spanish international is enjoying an excellent season for Celta Vigo. Barring injury, he will be going to the World Cup.
So this will be a test for Barcelona over the final 17 minutes of this match. The onus is now on Celta Vigo to attack the Catalans, who will surely sit deep and absord the pressure.
JUST OVER THE BAR! Aspas lines up the freekick on the edge of the Barcelona penalty area, beats Ter Stegen with his strike, but the ball flashes over the top of the crossbar.
SERGI ROBERTO SENT OFF! It's a straight red card shown to the Barcelona midfielder for dragging back Aspas as he was clean through on goal. The referee made the right decision.
ASPAS STRIKE WIDE! That wasn't far away from being a second equaliser for Celta Vigo! Aspas takes aim from the edge of the box, but his effort flashes wide of the post.
Paulinho got the goal, but it was created by Semedo down the right side. The former Benfica man has been in and out of the team this season, but that was a great assist.
It's simply incredible how much of a difference Messi makes to this Barcelona team. As soon as he was brought off the bench there was an injection of pace and intensity to their play.
- GoalPaco AlcácerFC Barcelona
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Celta Vigo 1 Barcelona 2 (65 mins - Paulinho). They're back ahead! Messi has made such a difference since coming on. Semedo plays a low cross to Paulinho and the Brazilian bundles the ball home into the empty net from close range.
You'd expect that this will be a different game for Celta Vigo now. Messi doesn't have the best goalscoring record at the Balaidos, but he will surely see Barcelona take control now.
DEMBELE STRAIGHT AT SERGIO! The young Frenchman takes aim from about 20 yards out, but while his strike was powerful it was straight at the keeper who makes the save.
- OffAndré GomesFC Barcelona
- OnSergi RobertoFC Barcelona
And here comes Roberto for Barcelona as well. Will these two players make the difference for the Catalans?
- OffPhilippe CoutinhoFC Barcelona
- OnLionel MessiFC Barcelona
The first change made by Barcelona. It's Coutinho who comes off for Messi.
Indeed, Messi is about to come on for Barcelona. He's getting stripped and ready on the bench and he will be joined by Roberto in being introduced shortly by Valverde. Changes to be made soon.
Did they water the pitch too much at the half time interval? It's almost as if some areas of the pitch are waterlogged! The ball is holding up on it! Was it like that in the first half?
Will Valverde make some changes to his team soon? Barcelona are struggling to gain a foothold in the game since the start of the second half. Could we see Messi brought on?
This has become a very entertaining match in this second half. Celta Vigo have been the better side over the piece so far. They are attacking with consistency down the left side.
- Yellow cardIago AspasRC Celta
Aspas enters the book for a kick out at Mina ater a shoulder barge from the Barcelona man.
ANOTHER BIG CELTA CHANCE! Oh that should have been the second goal for Celta Vigo to put them ahead. Jozabed was clean through having broken the offside trap, but he shoots across goal and wide.
Messi has been sent to warm up by Valverde. The Barcelona manager probably wanted to give the Argentine the full 90 minutes to rest on the bench, but it looks like he might be needed.
While Valverde has made a number of changes to his Barcelona team ahead of the Copa del Rey final, the Catalans' unbeaten league record is on the line this evening.
Sisto has been excellent for Celta Vigo so far this evening. He has been the best outfield player on the pitch and he has picked up where he left off at the start of the second half.
DIGNE INJURY! The French left back has taken a blow to the face after a flailing elbow from Mendez, but he seems to be fine and will return to the pitch in a just few moments.
The hosts will have been boosted by scoring an equaliser on the stroke of half time. It was the least they deserved. They saw more of the ball and created the better chances.
- 2nd Half
The second half is under way in Vigo! It's 1-1 between Celta Vigo and Barcelona.
Well, what an end to the first half at the Balaidos. What did you make of the opening 45 minutes? Does Valverde need to bring on some of the big guns for Barcelona? Tweet me!
- End of 1st Half
HALF TIME: Celta Vigo 1-1 Barcelona. On the balance of play in the first half, the home side deserved that goal right at the end. Both teams have tried to play attacking football so far.
- GoalJonny CastroRC Celta
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Celta Vigo 1 (44 mins - Jonny Castro) Barcelona 1. Celta Vigo have bagged the equaliser with potentially the last attack of the first half! The hosts made the most of the counter attack and Jonny taps home the low cross at the front post! The left back gets the goal!
Gomes is another one of the Barcelona depth options who has struggled to make much of an impression at the Camp Nou. It must be said that he hasn't done much in this half either.
Denis plays a brilliant ball in behind the Celta Vigo defensive line for the run of Digne, but Sergio comes off his line and collects the ball cleanly. Nice idea from Denis, that was.
While he has undoubtedly struggled to find his feet at Barcelona this season, there's an argument to be made that he offers his team something different. And that he should have been used more often.
Celta Vigo will be disappointed that they haven't been able to find the net in this first half. They have had the better chances out of the two teams, but they trail Barca as things stand.
That could be a big goal for Dembele. He has endured a difficult first season at Barcelona. Speculation has swirled that he could leave the club this summer, but that was a great finish.
- GoalOusmane DembéléFC Barcelona
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Celta Vigo 0 Barcelona 1 (36 mins - Ousmane Dembele). Barcelona have an opener against the run of play and it's Dembele who's got it! That was an instinctive finish from the Frenchman, lashing home a finish from just inside the penalty box.
That was an outstanding save from Ter Stegen. The German has enjoyed an excellent season for Barcelona. Should he start for his country at the World Cup this summer? There's a case.
ANOTHER TER STEGEN SAVE! Mendez comes close yet again! The ball was played to Mendez about 14 yards out, but Ter Stegen makes the flying save to deny him the opener.
Paulinho has been Barcelona's busiest player so far. The Brazilian is the one trying to make things happen for the away side. He's giving them a driving force in the final third.
Barcelona started this match well, but they have since fallen out of the contest. They looked lively in the final third, but Celta Vigo are looking to hit them on the counter attack.
MENDEZ SHOOTS AGAIN! Once again, the Celta Vigo man gets a shot away on the Barcelona goal, but this time it's tame and Ter Stegen has no trouble in making the save.
Celta Vigo's attackers are enjoying themselves. They are being afforded so much space in the opposition half. Barcelona seem to be quite happy to stand off the energetic home side.
PAULINHO OFF THE POST! The Brazilian midfielder rises highest from a corner kick and sends an effort towards goal. It beats Sergio, but bounces off the base of the post. Very close.
So the best two chances of the match so far have fallen the way of Celta Vigo. Will they rue thise missed opportunities or is this the sign of more to come for the home team?
SHOULD BE 1-0! Celta Vigo should be ahead. The hosts come flying forward on the counter attack, with Mendez set up for the golden chance, but he sends his shot wide of the far post.
Some pre-match shots...
Celta Vigo have probably been the better team in this first half so far. Barcelona have had more of the ball, but the home side are doing more with it in the final third of the pitch.
Indeed, Barcelona are looking to become the first team in Spanish football history to go a full 38-game league season without losing a game. So there is something on this match.
Of course, while Barcelona are resting players ahead of this weekend's Copa del Rey final, there's still something riding on this game. They have an unbeaten Liga season on the line.
JUST TOO MUCH! Sisto very nearly picks out the run of Wass in behind the Barcelona defence. The pass was a good one, but it skipped off the turf and out for a goal kick.
Even during games, Valverde has been accused of being too slow to change things. When things were going badly at Roma, he left Dembele on the bench until the 75th minute.
Barcelona have options all over the pitch, but Valverde has refused to use them for much of the campaign. Take Digne, for instance - why has he not featured more in rotation?
Should Valverde have played this sort of team earlier in the season? Barcelona have looked tired in recent weeks and some believe that's because he failed to rotate his squad enough.
This has been a really open and entertaining start to the game. The changes don't seem to have affected Barcelona much. They are playing with freedom in the final third of the pitch.
ALCACER TAKES AIM! Barcelona come flying up the other end of the pitch on the rapid counter attack, with Alcacer firing off a shot on goal. But Sergio stands up tall and makes the save.
BIG CHANCE FOR CELTA! Aspas' cross into the box is met by Gomez, who is presented with a golden opportunity from 10 yards out, but Ter Stegen makes the solid stop!
The pressure will really mount on Valverde should Barcelona fail to win that Copa del Rey final against Sevilla. But for the time being, he can still win the double. Not bad for a debut season at the club.
Of course, depsite the criticism Barcelona are on course to win the league title and they have the Copa del Rey final against Sevilla on Saturday night. They can still win the double.
INCHES WIDE! Barcelona come close to scoring the opener. Coutinho slotted in Denis, who smashed a shot across the face of goal. Sergio was beaten, but the ball flashes past the far post.
As a result of that defeat at the Stadio Olimpico last week, Valverde has come in for some criticism recently. Many believe that he's not up to the job of being Barca manager.
It's been a difficult couple weeks for Barcelona. They are still smarting from their shock Champions League exit to Roma. It's almost as if some of the players are stil in shock.
There's no Messi for Barcelona. Suarez isn't in the team eithr. Mina is handed his first start in La Liga, with Semedo back in the side over Roberto. This is a very interesting team.
Valverde has rung the changes for this game tonight. Dembele is handed a starting spot against Celta Vigo, with Alcacer also picked for the away side. This is a chance for both players.
