Goals from Griezmann and Roberto in the first half get the job done for Barcelona, but the Catalans were made to work for the victory. Getafe had chances in the first half and could have feasibly taken a point from this game. The result sees Barca join Real Madrid at the top of La Liga on the same points.

- End of 2nd Half
FULL TIME: Barcelona 2-1 Getafe
This always looked like being a tough match for Barcelona and so it has proved. However, it seems that the Catalans are on the verge of three points to take them joint-top of La Liga.
Messi nearly kills it! That would have been a trademark strike from the Argentine, curling a left-footed strike towards the top corner, but the ball flashes just past the post with Soria beaten! What a goal that would have been.
There will be three minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the match.
- Yellow cardAnsu FatiFC Barcelona
Ansu takes the long route to the bench rather than exiting the pitch at the nearest point and is booked.
- OffAnsu FatiFC Barcelona
- OnArturo VidalFC Barcelona
Here's the change and it's Ansu who comes off for Vidal. So Setien is packing the midfield.
It looks like Setien might be about to make another change. Vidal is ready to come on down on the touchline, but who will come off for the Chilean midfielder? A like for like change?
- Yellow cardJunior FirpoFC Barcelona
Firpo quite blatantly handles the ball and is flashed a yellow card.
Getafe still stand a real chance of claiming something from this match. Barcelona look vulnerable at the back and so you'd presume that the visitors will get one final opportunity.
And now de Jong loses possession in the centre circle. This isn't what Setien wants to see from Barcelona. This has been a very peculiar performance from the Catalans on the whole.
Rakitic was presumably introduced off the bench by Setien to give Barcelona some control in the centre of the pitch, but the Croatian has since given the ball away cheaply twice!
Mata was in behind! That looked like being a tricky situation for Barcelona, but Pique tracked back well to make the tackle on the Getafe forward. Claims for a penalty are hopeful to say the least.
Another chance for Griezmann! Messi clips a wonderful pass in behind for his French teammate, but the angle was tight and getting tighter and Griezmann sends his shot wide of the far post.
- OffArthurFC Barcelona
- OnIvan RakiticFC Barcelona
Setien makes his first change of the match and Rakitic comes on for Arthur.
How did Griezmann miss?! That was a sitter! Firpo's cut back ended up at the feet of the French forward completely free, completely unmarked eight yards out, but he blasts over the top of the crossbar! Wow!
How many times has Ter Stegen come to Barcelona's rescue this season? He has to be the best goalkeeper in the world at this moment in time. Getafe must still be thinking about that chance.
What a save from Ter Stegen! The German goalkeeper keeps Barcelona ahead! Arambarri's freekick from the left side found Angel at the back post, but Ter Stegen saved! He had four bites at the stop!
Once again, there's a tension around Camp Nou. Barcelona are passing the ball around the midfield for the time being, but that possession is their comfort blanket. Not going anywhere.
What do Getafe have left in the tank? I must say, I thought this game was as good as over about 10 minutes ago with Barcelona in control, but the Catalans still have some work to do!
Ansu is denied by Soria! The Barcelona teenager takes on the shot from just outside the penalty area after being played in by Messi, but Soria makes the save to keep the scoreline 2-1.
Narrative! Angel, of course, is one of the forwards who has recently been linked with a move to Barcelona and that goal will have done nothing to harm his chances of a move to Camp Nou.
- GoalÁngelGetafe CF
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 2 Getafe 1 (67 mins - Angel Rodriguez). What a finish and we have a game on our hands again! Angel met the cross into the area with a first-time volley from just inside the box. Ter Stegen couldn't adjust in time and the Getafe forward finds the bottom corner of the Barcelona net!
Ansu hasn't been as involved this afternoon as Setien would surely like. The 17-year-old is being asked to play almost every minute at the moment due to injuries. Feeling fatigue?
Messi is unhappy with some of the rough treatment from Getafe. He has a point. The away side have been crude in some of their tackles this afternoon and the referee has let it slide.
Messi is now dropping deeper and deeper to pick up the ball and drive it forward. We are seeing more of that from the Barcelona number 10 now that Setien is in the dugout.
Some news on that Alba injury...
Will Setien soon make a change to his team? Barcelona have some important games coming up including the Champions League last 16 tie against Napoli in two weeks time.
What a run! Messi beats one and then two and then three. The Barcelona number 10 is fouled almost every step of the way and the freekick is eventually given. He can't be stopped when he's like that.
PICTURE: Griezmann scored his first goal in five games.
As mentioned before the match, Real Madrid started the day with a three-point lead at the top of La Liga. This result will see Barcelona draw level with them until tomorrow night at least.
Apologies for the break in providing updates from this game. We had some technical problems. Yes, we turned it off and back on again and that seems to have done the trick.
- OffMathías OliveraGetafe CF
- OnKenedyGetafe CF
And the second Getafe change sees Kenedy, the on loan Chelsea player, introduced off the bench.
- OffJorge MolinaGetafe CF
- OnÁngelGetafe CF
Bordelas is going to make a double change here. Molina is coming off and he will be replaced by Angel.
- Yellow cardSamuel UmtitiFC Barcelona
Umtiti is shown a yellow card for an arm into the head of Mata.
PICTURE: Griezmann opened the scoring for Barcelona.
Getafe did have scoring chances of their own in the first half, but failed to take them and were made to pay. Can they create a few more? They are not out of this match just yet.
Setien was surely pleased with what he saw from his Barcelona team in the first half after they scored the opener. The Catalans look to be in complete control of this match now.
- 2nd Half
The second half is under way at Camp Nou! Barcelona have a 2-0 lead over Getafe in this La Liga fixture.
What did you make of the first half at Camp Nou? Is there any way back for Getafe from here? Will they rue those missed scoring opportunities? Does Bordelas need to make changes? Tweet me!
HALF TIME: Barcelona 2-0 Getafe. The Catalans head ino the half time interval with a two-goal advantage. Goals from Griezmann and Roberto are the difference between the two teams.
Soria saves from Messi! The Getafe goalkeeper keeps his side just about in the match on the stroke of half time, making the save from a Messi header. That could have very easily been three.
Setien will be pleased with how his Barcelona team have played since scoring the opening goal somewhat against the run of play. They are now in full control of this contest.
There will be four minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the first half.
Messi freekick... over! A set piece from the Barcelona number 10 is given the big build up from the home fans inside the Camp Nou, but Messi curls his effort just high and wide of the target.
The 2-0 scoreline is harsh on Getafe. They have more than held their own at Camp Nou, but the difference between the two sides has been underlined in the way Barca have taken their chances.
PICTURE: Cucurella has impressed back at Camp Nou.
- GoalSergi RobertoFC Barcelona
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 2 (40 mins - Sergi Roberto) Getafe 0. The Catalans have doubled their advantage! Firpo gets down the left side and cuts back the ball for Roberto who passes the finish into the back of the net! What a passing move that was from Barcelona! That's Setien football! That's what he wants to see!
Ansu looked to have been released into the opposition box, but two Getafe players got back to make the tackle on the Barcelona teenager, crowding him out just in the nick of time.
Despite having the lead, Barcelona are still guilty of moving the ball too slowly. That is surely something Setien wants to work on. His team are keeping the ball, but it's so pedestrian at times.
Getafe can feel hard done by. They have probably been the better of the two teams, they have had their chances, but Barcelona took their first goalscoring opportunity of the afternoon.
Messi might be struggling for goals at the moment, but that's his sixth assist in his last three games. That was one of his very best. Is there another player who could have produced that?
- GoalAntoine GriezmannFC Barcelona
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 1 (33 mins - Antoine Griezmann) Getafe 0. Somewhat against the run of play in the first half, Barcelona have taken the lead! Messi played a wonderful first time pass around the corner for Griezmann and the French forward prods a clever finish past Soria and into the back of the net!
Just for a moment it seemed that Griezmann was through on goal, but Soria came out to narrow the angle and push the Barcelona forward out wide. That was excellent goalkeeping.
Getafe have kept a clean sheet in each of their last four matches. That is showing in the game. Barcelona are having real trouble breaking down the visitors. Not making much progress.
Getafe look to be the better coached team of the two sides at Camp Nou this afternoon. Bordelas has done such a good job. The away outfit look every bit at home on such a stage.
Barcelona are on edge here. The home team have been second best in this first half. Getafe, on the other hand, are growing in confidence. Mata, Molina and Cucurella all playing very well.
Getafe go SO close again! Molina rounded ter Stegen and then pulled the ball back for Cucurella, but the left full back pulls his shot just wide of the far post. Getafe have been on top in the opening 25 minutes of this match.
GOAL RULED OUT! The referee has decided that it was indeed a foul from Nyom on Umtiti and Barcelona survive. We are still on level terms. That was probably the correct call. Nyom did look to foul the centre back.
The referee has come over to the sideline to take a look at the VAR monitor argument. I reckon this goal could be ruled out. Nyom shouldered Umtiti before he finished into the back of the net.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 0 Getafe 1 (23 mins - Allan Nyom). Getafe have taken the lead at Camp Nou! Molina won the initial header from the corner kick to force ter Stegen into a reflex save, but Nyom reacted quickest and finished into the back of the Barcelona net. VAR is going to take a look at a potential foul on Umtiti.
- OffJordi AlbaFC Barcelona
- OnJunior FirpoFC Barcelona
There's the expected change and Firpo comes on for the injured Alba.
This Alba injury will add to Setien's headache. Barcelona already have a number of key players injured and the Catalans have some big matches coming up. Not ideal to say the least.
PICTURE: Still waiting for the first goal.
Alba injury! The Barcelona left back's game is over. Alba looks to have pulled something and he will have to come off after just 20 minutes. Firpo is being prepared to come on here.
Ansu pulls off a wonderful piece of skill to beat Nyom and the Getafe man has no choice but to bring down the teenager. The 17-year-old is being leaned upon a lot by Barca right now.
On the back of that last Messi chance, it should be noted that the Argentine hasn't quite been himself of late. He has now gone an incredible 28 shots without finding the back of the net!
Big chance for Messi! That might have been the opener. Busquets clipped the pass over the top for Messi, he tried to lob Soria, but the Getafe goalkeeper is able to make the straightforward catch. That was a big chance.
Suarez is missing for Getafe this afternoon. The right back is suspended for one match having picked up five yellow cards. He will be a big miss for the away side. He's very, very good.
The pass over the top of the Barcelona defence from Cucurella for Mata was exceptional, but the Getafe forward couldn't quite keep the ball in play under pressure from Pique.
This has been an encouraging start for the away side. Not only do they look well organised at the back, Getafe have actually had more than their fair share of the ball early on.
Getafe can often be typecast as a physical side, the Burnley of La Liga. However, they can play some nice stuff. You don't rise as high as third in the table without having some quality.
That injury to Dembele, coupled with the one being experienced by Suarez, means that Barcelona are being allowed to sign a forward as an emergency measure. Willian Jose has been mentioned.
Barcelona's players worse t-shirts wishing Dembele well before kick off. The French winger suffered another injury set back and has been ruled out of action until the end of the season.
Real Madrid don't face Celta Vigo until tomorrow evening and so this is an opportunity for the Catalans to draw level on points with their title rivals at the top of the Spanish Liga table.
Cucurella is playing for Getafe against his parent club here. The left back has been exceptional for the suburban club this season. Many believe that he will return to Barcelona as a first team figure.
Barcelona showed great character to claim three points over Real Betis at the Benito Villamarin last weekend. That was a crucial win to keep on the coattails of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga.
This promises to be one of the most interesting fixtures in La Liga this weekend. Getafe are enjoying an exceptional season and must be taken seriously by Barcelona. This won't be easy.

The match is under way! It's Barcelona against Getafe in this Spanish Liga fixture at Camp Nou!
Okay, here we go. We are about to get started at Camp Nou. Kick off is just moments away.
Here's a statistic for you - Griezmann has gone 500 minutes without scoring a Liga goal, his longest goalless streak since joining Barcelona.
Setien and Bordelas have very different ideas on how football should play, but both coaches are certain in their respective ideologies.
Not long until kick off at Camp Nou. Getafe are a tough team to beat. They mustn't be discounted. Bordelas' side are only seven points behind Barcelona. They could narrow that gap to four points today!
Barcelona come into this match on the back of an important away win over Real Betis. They can draw level with Real Madrid at the top of La Liga with another victory this afternoon.
