Real Madrid are still pressing hard for a winner. Osasuna look to have held out for a point, though. The decision making from the Spanish champions in attack has been pretty poor.
There will be three minutes of stoppage time played before full time.
Mendy shoots over! Real Madrid create the shooting opportunity on the break, but Mendy puts his wild shot over the bar when he might have been better leaving it to Kroos.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... NO! Real Madrid have a goal chalked off for a second time. Benzema played the ball into Ramos who converted from close range, but the Frenchman was offside!
Osasuna sense that Real Madrid are there for the taking here. They see that the Spanish champions are vulnerable. They just haven't been able to reach the heights tonight.
Real Madrid look a bit ragged at the back for a moment, but they recover. Osasuna are still pushing for a goal that at this late stage of the match might secure them all three points!
There’s a good chance Real Madrid could go on a real run after this. They have a favourable run of fixtures that will see them take on Alaves, Levante and Huesca before a home match against Valencia.
After this match, Real Madrid will take on Athletic Club in the semi finals of the Spanish Super Cup. It’s Barcelona and Real Sociedad in the other semi final. Basque derby or Clasico in the final?

PICTURE: Still no breakthrough
Part of the reason Hazard hasn’t been rushed back is that Zidane hasn’t needed to rush him back. With Asensio on the left and Vazquez on the right, Real Madrid have had some real balance of late!
Hazard has been eased back into the starting lineup after injury. There was a sense that Belgian was rushed back from injury last year and so Zidane is determined not to make the same mistake again.
Torres couldn't keep it down! A good passing move from Osasuna creates the chance for Torres in the middle, but the bouncing ball was always going to be difficult for him to take. Shoots over.
Vazquez has been in excellent form recently. He is one of Zidane’s favourites and is often mocked for that, but nobody can argue that the winger doesn’t deserve his place in the lineup right now.
There have been signs recently of Asensio finding form again. The Spain international was arguably the best player on the pitch in the win over Celta Vigo. Asensio is finally getting over his injury troubles. He looked good again tonight!
PICTURE: Casemiro had a good chance
That is a strange decision from Zidane. Does the introduction of Valverde mean a change of shape from Real Madrid? Asensio had been the most dangerous player on the pitch!
- OffMarco AsensioReal Madrid
- OnFederico ValverdeReal Madrid
Zidane makes his first change of the night and Valverde comes on for Asensio.
Mariano looked to have forced his way into the first team fold a couple weeks ago, but he too has become a peripheral figure for Real Madrid again. It’s all on Benzema to lead the line!
The January window is now open and many believe Jovic could be on his way out of the Santiago Bernabeu. The Serbian was signed to ease the burden on Benzema, but has struggled to make his mark.
This Real Madrid team is still so reliant on Benzema to lead the line. When the Frenchman is missing or is even out of form, the Spanish champions tend to be rather toothless in the final third.
VAR... decision stands! The replays show the linesman made the correct decision. Benzema was indeed offside when the cross from Kroos came into the Osasuna penalty box.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... NO! Benzema looks to have bundled hom a messy finish following a wonderful cross from Kroos, but the Frenchman is flagged for offside! That was close!
Valverde is a more natural fit for this Real Madrid team. The Uruguayan was one of the breakthrough stars of last season, but has been used more sparingly by Zidane so far this term.
Injuries have been an issue for Odegaard, but a bigger issue is that the Norwegian doesn’t seem to have a clear role in this team, in Zidane’s system. He might have to tailor his game.
Many believed this season would see Odegaard become a first team figure for Real Madrid after an impressive season on loan at Real Sociedad last term. That hasn’t quite materialised yet.
PICTURE: Can Hazard make the breakthrough?
Casemiro set up for the shot! The Brazilian midfielder came on to a pass by Vazquez on the edge of the opposition area, but he strikes wide of the target when he should have tested Herrera.
There has already been more goalmouth action in the early stages of this second half than there was in all of the opening 45 minutes. Both teams looking to win the match!
What an effort from Asensio! Great control and skill from the Spain international, he created the space for the shot, but Herrera made a stunning save to stop a stunning Real Madrid goal!
Courtois saves! Calleri takes on the shot from distance, but the Real Madrid goalkeeper was behind the effort was comforable enough in making the save to deny the Osasuna attacker.
PICTURE: Captain. Leader.
His control let him down! Hazard cut inside off the left, linked up with Asensio, his pass was a good one through to Benzema, but the French striker couldn't control the ball! Close!
Real Madrid were pretty toothless in the opening 45 minutes and so Zidane will surely want to see his team create more in the attacking third of the pitch in this second period.
The second half is under way! It's still 0-0 between Osasuna and Real Madrid in this La Liga fixture.
HALF TIME: Osasuna 0-0 Real Madrid. Not much happening in that half. Both teams struggled to create much in the way of scoring opportunities, but the hosts will be the happier.
Kroos plays the pass in behind the Osasuna defence, but the ball is in between Casemiro and Hazard. That allows Herrera to come off his line and gather possession.
Osasuna have done such a good job of restricting Real Madrid, but they need to hold off until the half time interval. The away side are pressing hard as the clock ticks down to 45 minutes.
The challenge for Real Madrid is they need to draw out Osasuna to then exploit the space they leave in behind. The home side don't seem very intent on being drawn out.
PICTURE: Tricky conditions
Osasuna aren't interested in pressing Real Madrid when they have the ball in midfield. The hosts push high on the away side when they get beyond the centre circle. That's the trigger.
Zidane will be pleased with how organised his team has been, but he'll want his players to create more in the attacking third of the pitch where they have been pretty toothless so far.
Carvajal is suspended for this evening’s game and so Vazquez steps back into the right back role that he has performed a number of times so far this season. He knows that position well.
As mentioned earlier, Real Madrid struggled to take off from Barajas Airport last night. It was pretty dicey for a while, but Zidane and his players were able to get to Pamplona in time for this evening’s fixture.
It definitely seems like both groups of players are struggling to find much grip on this pitch. Everything is being done at three quarters pace, as if they don't want to slip. Icey!
Real Madrid create problems! Modric is played down the lefy channel, he plays an outside of the boot cross to the near post, but Herrera makes an improvised clearance with his arms!
The best chance of the match! Oier gets a header on goal and draws the reflex save out of Courtois! That's the closest either side has come to finding the back of the net in the opening 30 minutes.
Casemiro and Kroos have also been in excellent form for Real Madrid recently. Are they the best midfield trio in the European? They have been elite level for so long. Legends for the club.
Of course, Modric is out of contract at the end of the season. There has been a lot of talk about the veteran midfielder’s future at Real Madrid, but he is expected to sign a new contract some time soon.
Modric has been in exceptional form for Real Madrid recently. The Croatian is still their creator in chief. The player who makes things happen for the Spanish champions through the centre of the pitch.
Indeed, Zidane was under real pressure at that point, but Real Madrid have gone unbeaten in all competitions since then, qualifying for the Champions League last 16 and surging up La Liga.
It’s remarkable how Zidane has managed to turn things around since that defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League which really looked to be the beginning of the end for the Frenchman at Real Madrid.
Osasuna come into this game in good form. Indeed, they are currently on a four-game unbeaten run in all competitions. They could make it five games unbeaten with a draw or win here.
After a slow start, Osasuna are growing into the game. They are playing the conditions well. One of the things they are doing is whacking balls into the corners, where the snow holds it up.
It's notable that Osasuna are getting a lot of players around Benzema whenever he receives the ball. They recognise just how important the Frenchman is to Real Madrid's game.
Across the face! That was a dangerous position for Hazard, but his cross flashes across the six yard box. There were no takers in a red shirt in the centre of the penalty area.
The way the players are moving, you can tell the pitch is pretty slippy. Players on both teams are refraining from giving it full acceleration. And the snow continues to fall. Hazardous.
The snow held it up! Everyone had given up on a ball that looked set to go out of play, but Garcia didn't. He anticipated that the snow might hold it up and that's what happened!
Casemiro looks for the run of Benzema in behind the Osasuna defence, but the pass is cut out and the home team survives. Real Madrid are starting to make more of an attacking effort.
Real Madrid are just starting to take a grip of things through their use of the ball. They are beginning to raise the tempo of their play around the centre of the snowy.
He had to be alert! A long ball forward from Varane turned into something of a shot, but Herrera tracked back to get back to his goal line and stop the clearance from ending up in the back of the net.
It hasn't been the most exhilirating start to this match as both sides feel their way into things as the snow continues to fall. That pitch doesn't look in great condition. Very icey!
Real Madrid can go top of the La Liga standings this evening with three points. Atletico Madrid had their home match against Athletic Club postponed due to the heavy snow in the capital city.
Real Madrid come into this game on the back of a comfortable 2-0 win over Celta Vigo. The defending champions were rarely troubled in that match, especially after Aspas went off injured.
There was a lot of doubt about this match after Real Madrid were stopped from taking off from the city’s Barajas Airport last night because of heavy, heavy snow in the Spanish capital. Athletic Club couldn’t land either for their game against Atleti.
What sort of match will we get this evening? There has been a lot of uncertainty around this match in the build up, but now it's under way and the players must focus on the task in hand.
The match is under way! It's Osasuna against Real Madrid in this La Liga fixture!
Okay, here we go. We are about to get started in snowy Pamplona. Kick off is just moments away.
Not long until kick off in Pamplona. The forecast is for the weather conditions to get worse over the course of the match!
Indeed, the Osasuna groundstaff have worked very hard to get this game on. Even as the warm ups continue, they are out on the pitch making sure it doesn't freeze up. Very cold!
There was some real doubt over whether this match would take place. Spain has been hit by heavy snow over the past 24 hours and Pamplona has had more than its fair share of the white stuff!

Hazard starts! The Belgian is back in the Real Madrid starting lineup after a long layoff due to injury. Can Hazard finally find form and fitness in the famous white shirt he wanted to wear for so long?
