Two minutes added.
Lozano with a curler! High and wide.
The game is slowly reaching its conclusion, but we knew that from the restart. Cadiz have slowed, as too have Real... hang on... Rodrygo! Oh so unlucky, a lovely turn and shot from the edge of the box, but wide of the mark.
Corner, Cadiz - Gutierrez misjudges a cross, and it's swung in from Alejo, and Saponjic can;t quite make the most of the half chance that comes his way.
Mariano's first involvement.. chance... he's rounded Ledesma, but puts it wide! He seemed to be offside, but he should still be putting that sort of chance away.
Corner, Cadiz. in from Alejo, collected by Courtois.
And Gutierrez is replacing Marcelo.
The youngsters are coming on. Benzema is being replaced by Mariano.
Here come the hosts. They're still trying, and Lozano wins the free kick deep in Madrid territory.
It's just not happening for Cadiz. They can't retain possession, and Real are just stringing it around them, playing them off the park.
13 ball retrievals today for Antonio Blanco today. No surprise as to why Zidane's picked him today; allowing for Casemiro to drive forwards and use his physicality.
Marcelo cautioned for a late challenge.
Real cut through Cadiz again down the left, Marcelo and Benzema link up really well as the French striker finds the left back with a back heel, but Ledesma foils the Brazilian and the score stays at three.
Cross swung in deep from the Cadiz left, but Courtois plucks it out of the air confidently, and Real can build from the back again.

Isco is on.
Jairo's corner... and Lozano... nods it wide of the target.
Real carve the hosts open again... Benzema's reverse ball finds Odriozola, who goes over, but the referee points for a goal kick rather than a penalty,
Corner, Cadiz. Chance here to get back into the game, perhaps? Flicked over by Cala. Still 3-0.
Oof. Just over the top.
Benzema over this one.
Slow and passing control from Madrid here, but still willing to explode into life when required. Vinicius does just that, and wins the free kick on the edge of the area.
Rodrygo is still down after a late challenge and needs treatment.
In from Jairo...cleared by Vinicius.
Cadiz free kick, given away by Nacho... and a corner follows up.
And we're back. Lozano, Saponjic and Akapo on for the hosts.
- End of 1st Half
Over the top, and that's half time. We'll be back in 15. Gotta catch the old breath.
Another lung-busting run down the spine of the pitch from Rodrygo earns himself a free kick in a promising position. A chance to strike here, Benzema standing over it, but he's left it to the Brazilian starlet.
Taken short and worked out to the edge of the area, but wasted and Cadiz have possession back.
Odriozola's cross.. more Madrid pressure from the corner..
Booking for Jose Mari for a late challenge on Vinicius Junior.
- GoalKarim BenzemaReal Madrid
GOAL! There's 3-0, Benzema at the double, Real at the triple. Lovely play from Rodrygo, drifting centrally to link play with the advancing Casemiro, and the Brazilian midfielder picks up the ricochet to float it in towards the French striker, who flicks home for three.
A lovely floated ball forwards towards Benzema from Rodrygo.... and Casemiro on the end of the knockdown! Just over.
- GoalÁlvaro OdriozolaReal Madrid
GOAL! There's 2-0. Carcelen makes the mistake, losing out to Marcelo and Nacho, and Benzema has the vision to pick out Odriozola off the left foot at the far post, and the Spaniard nods it home through Ledesma's legs and doubles the margin.
Cross from Salvi... nodded away by Blanco, and Sobrino outside the area! High and wide.
- Goal by penaltyKarim BenzemaReal Madrid
GOAL! Benzema from 12 yards... makes no mistake. 1-0.
- Yellow cardIsaac CarcelénCádiz CF
Hold on... VAR is being consulted here for a penalty from Rodrygo being felled by Iza... and it's a spot kick.
Cadiz corner, conceded by Odriozola. Whipped in by Mari, but Courtois holds and Casemiro sets off Benzema on the break, but there's a breakdown in communications between the Frenchman and Rodrygo, and the attacks stalls.
Rodrygo shows what he's all about, turning away from his marker and leaving him in his wake, but a heavy touch dribbles out for a goal kick and the danger is averted.
- Yellow cardRaphaël VaraneReal Madrid
Varane is cautioned for not allowing Ledesma to take the goal kick.
Ooh... neat interplay from Madrid, stemming from the debutant Blanco, whose penetrative ball into the feet of Benzema falls through to Vinicius, who earns the visitors the corner.
50/50 possession so far. Surprising.
Cadiz certainly aren't afraid to attack Real down the flanks - Jairo and Salvi are looking to get at Odriozola and Marcelo and exploit the space left in behind them. The only problem facing them after that is the recovery pace of Militao and Varane, but Salvi is trying to highlight and exploit Nacho, the slowest of the three on the Real left.
Good pressure from Jairo down the left, hustling Odriozola, and he's unlucky not to earn a corner off the Real right wing-back.
Free kick delivered deep by Marcelo... Militao gets his head onto it, but can only steer it wide of the target.
The first shot on target falls way of Cadiz...Jairo the provider of it, but Courtois holds and Real recycle possession.
Blanco fouls Mari, Cadiz free kick. The hosts aren't afraid to get stuck in and go long as well, and Ledesma will look for the head of Negredo here again.
- Yellow cardSalvi SánchezCádiz CF
It's delivered by Mari, but it's cleared and Vinicius is off down the left, until he's hauled to the ground by Salvi, who takes the yellow card.
Salvi felled by Nacho in the wide right channel. Free kick Cadiz, chance here for the hosts to swing the ball in.
More patient build-up from Madrid - Nacho assumes the role of overlapping centre back down the left, but is stopped after a miscommunication with Vinicius.
It's clear the instructions given to Vinicius and Rodryo - run directly at the home defence and isolate individuals - Rodrygo is halted on the edge of the area, and the ball falls for Blanco, but he can only fire wide and Cadiz can get it forward.
It's a 4-4-2 shape for Cadiz - sitting deep already, Madrid getting comfortable in possession.
Off we go.
The managers shake hands, and the players are in formation.
Here they come. Can Madrid shut out the outside noise and concentrate on their title assault?
5 minutes. The teams are on the way.
10 minutes to go.
A fairly strong bench for Madrid as well tonight: Isco, Carvajal, Asensio, Mariano the standout names.
20 minutes to kick off.
Real's first game since the collapse of the European Super League - how will they react? Florentino Perez hasn't conceded complete defeat yet, but the team cannot let off-the-field issues trouble them in a game that could well decide the destination of this season's La Liga title.
With a win here, it would allow Real to move away from Sevilla - also on 67 points - and move level with Atletico - Barcelona lie two points behind with a game in hand - two after the end of this one - but we shall see.
Cadiz are in a 4-3-3 shape on paper, but expect a more rigid 4-5-1, or even 6-3-1 at times, with former Manchester City veteran Alvaro Negredo the isolated out-ball on half way. They may well be relying on his and the central defenders' aerial threat from set-pieces to have any chance in this one.
Real are going gung-ho tonight. They know they need goals and they've set themselves up to do just that. Marcelo is in from the start in a more advanced wing-back role, with youngster Antonio Blanco partnering Casemiro in midfield to give Toni Kroos and Luka Modric a rest before the Champions League.
But let's analyse the team selections.
The hosts, however, are in lower-mid table safety - 36 points at this stage of the season seems to have made them sure of their survival, and if they were to pull off an unlikely win, they could see themselves move to 10th in the table.
Madrid come into this game three points off the summit - Atletico lead the way on 70 points - but Madrid can close the gap with a win tonight.
Real are in a 3-4-3: Courtois, Militao, Nacho, Varane, Odriozola. Blanco, Casemiro, Marcelo, Junior, Benzema, Rodrygo.
Cadiz are in a 4-3-3: Ledesma, Carcelen, Jimenez, Lopez, Espino, Jonsson, Mari, Izquierdo, Sobrino, Negredo. Sanchez.
The teams are in...
