Pedri has been in excellent form since before Christmas. The teenage playmaker has been one of the success stories of Barcelona’s season. What a talent he is. He’s already a key figure for Barca. On to make a difference.

What a save! Dembele cuts the pass back to Mingueza, the defender strikes the effort well, but Robles makes the diving save to prevent the ball from finidng the back of the net!

Barcelona have some work to do in this second half. They were second best in the opening 45 minutes. Pedri is on to try and help them create more in the attacking third.

HALF TIME: Real Betis 1-0 Barcelona. Borja's goal is the difference between the two teams at the break. I suspect we will see Messi introduced for the start of the second half.

Header over! Braithwaite makes contact with an Alba freekick delivery into the box, but he couldn't direct it on goal. Barcelona have struggled to create much in this first half.

Koeman is already looking at the notes he has taken in the dugout ahead of the half time interval. This system and selection hasn't really worked for Barcelona. Need better.

There will be four minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the first half.

The camera shows Messi sat in the stand at the Benito Villamarin. We will surely see the Argentine for the start of the second half. Barcelona have missed the influence of their number 10.

Pjanic denied! Griezmann gets to the byline, cuts it back for the Bosnian who has a shot saved by Robles. The flag was raised against Griezmann, though. He was indeed offside.

Well, there we go. Barcelona have offered little on the ball and have looked vulnerable in the wide areas. That's where Real Betis found the space to get at the Catalan visitors there.

Real Betis launched a counter attack, the pass was played out to Emerson, he squared a low cross into the Barcelona box and Borja side-foots the finish home!

De Jong receives the ball, looks ahead of him and throws his arms out in dismay because of the lack of options ahead of him. In the end, he plays a safe, square pass.
