Fiorese to leave Lorient

The newly promoted side's boss, Christian Gourcuff , has only given Fiorese seven appearances this season, leading to the criticism.

And it now seems that his time at the club is up:

“It is always easier to question other people and not ourselves,” Lorient chairman Alain Le Roch told L'Equipe.

“Honestly, Christian Gourcuff hasn't ruled him out of contention," he continued. "Lorient is not in a position where it can ignore players.

"(Fiorese's) problem is that he doesn't question himself and doesn't admit that he has fallen short of what is expected.

“A pro has to raise the head, but he hasn't got this competitive streak. There is a sort of misunderstanding between him and us.

“His departure is definite, he will leave the club. It is the best solution.”
