Govou committed to Lyon

After having announced his decision to depart every summer for the last three seasons, the winger has finally decided to stay at Lyon for life.

“If I have signed on until 2010, it is to stay,” Govou told Le Progres. “I feel good here.

“Then, we never know what can happen. A player can wish something and the directors something else. Mine is to stay.

“I can see myself finishing my career with Lyon.”

According to his agent, 27-year-old Govou refused to join Fulham and Middlesbrough last summer.
