PSG were expected to make another astonishing signing after the £198m world record capture of Neymar from Barcelona but seemingly in response to concerns that they will not fulfil UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations, they have delayed the full purchase of Mbappe for 12 months.
The deal allows PSG to push the payment for Mbappe into another financial year potentially helping them fulfil UEFA's criteria.
L’Equipe say the loan deal has been agreed between the two clubs and that Mbappe, 18, will have a medical on Monday.
The forward scored 21 goals in Ligue 1 and the Champions League last season, making a huge impact on elite football as he helped steer Monaco to the semi-finals of Europe's biggest competition.
Manchester City and Real Madrid were among the clubs linked with a move for Mbappe this summer but he will now link up with Neymar and Edinson Cavani in the PSG attack.
