  • End of 2nd Half

FULL-TIME! RC Lens have defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the Ligue 1 champions' opener. Igniatius Ganogo's goal is the difference, with PSG's 20-year-old goalkeeper Marcin Bulka making a howler on a night to forget for Thomas Tuchel's men.

Gueye delivers a cross into a packed Lens penalty area, Kurzawa goes for the spectacular bicycle-kick and is cautioned for a high foot.

There will be FOUR minutes of added time to play.

With so many players missing due to Covid-19, it begs the question if this game should have been postponed. PSG may as well have started the campaign with a handicap, and it doesn't get any easier as they prepare for a home match with fierce rivals Marseille on Sunday.

Three minutes to go. PSG don't look like scoring. I can't remember the visitors having a shot on target.

Big chance! This could have been the moment for Lens to seal the deal! Sylla's cross to the back post is begging to be finished, but Sotoca tries to head it back across the face of goal and gets it badly wrong! He ought to have scored.

  • Juan Bernat

Yellow card! Bernat goes into the book for a rather reckless challenge. Frustration is creeping into PSG's game.

Lens are rather comfortable at the moment. They don't have much experience at this level but they're handling the game well. Less than 15 to play.

PSG sub: Jese makes his first appearance for PSG in FOUR years. He replaces Kalimuendo.

PSG sub: Kimpembe, who took a knock on the knee a moment ago, is replaced by Diallo, as PSG's night goes from bad to worse.

Double Lens sub: The hosts seem to be shutting up shop, as goalscorer Ganogo is replaced by Jean, while Kakuta makes way for Cahuzac.

Yellow card! Sotoca is given a harsh yellow card. He seemed to won the ball fairly from Kimpembe.

PSG sub: Ruiz-Atil makes way for Colin Dagba.

Ruiz-Atil wins a free-kick from Gradit in a dangerous area, just outside of the penalty box... This is a chance for PSG. Herrera lifts it over the wall but it's straight at Leca, who makes a comfortable stop.

Lens sub: That will be Banza's final contribution as he's replaced by Sotoca for the last 25 minutes.

Great save! Bulka goes someway to redeeming himself. He spreads himself to stop Banza's stooping header. That would have been a lovely goal and would have put Lens almost out of sight!

PSG are staring at defeat in their Ligue 1 opener. There was always the possibility they could lose here, but no one actually thought it would happen, did they?!

PSG are on the ropes here as Bulka plays his side into trouble once more. Verratti has nowhere to go and he gives it to Ganogo once again. However, he runs out of space.

GOAL! RC Lens 1-0 PSG (Ganago): Oh dear me, Bulka has had an absolute nightmare! The young PSG goalkeeper passes straight to Ganago who takes full advantage by slotting it home to give the hosts the lead!

Verratti backheels the ball into the feet of Kurzawa, who plays the ball across the face of goal - but there's no one there.

Over! Verratti blazes the ball over the bar from 25 yards, summing up his night - and PSG's - so far.

PSG have had 78 per cent of possession, which is crazy considering they still haven't tested the home shot-stopper.

PSG are struggling to keep a hold of the ball in the early stages of the second half. Their wayward passing sees Michelin drive down the right and his dangerous cross is dealt with by Kurzawa, who just about clears.

Sylla finds himself in an advanced position down the left for Lens and his whipped cross causes havoc inside the PSG penalty area as they fail to clear it. The hosts force the corner.

Kick-off! PSG get us underway in the second half and the Ligue 1 champions are yet to register a shot on target.

Half-time: There is no injury-time, as the sides go in level at the break.

Yellow card! Lens' Doucoure goes into the book.

Lens spring a dangerous counter-attack but Banza's pass is slightly behind Sylla, losing momentum, and then the full-back skews his cross out of play to compound their misery.

Verratti doesn't look entirely fit in the PSG midfield.

Great goalkeeping from Leca once more as he races his off line to bravely take the ball from the feet of Kalimuendo, who had made a clever run to latch onto a pass over the top.

Yellow card! Sarabia is blocked off at the byline and then kicks out at his marker in frustration, earning himself a booking.

Ganogo rises highest to meet the corner but Kurzawa deflects his header behind for another Lens corner.

Ganago plays a give-and-go with Banza inside the penalty area, as Lens threaten once more. The ball is begging to be struck but he opts to try to square it, winning a corner.

Lens are dropping increasingly deep, inviting pressure from the visitors, who are growing in confidence as the half ticks on.

Ruiz-Atil has his heels clipped, winning a free-kick on the left. Verratti's deliver is straight forward for the Lens defence to clear, though.

Block! Lovely intricate football by Ruiz-Atil and Kalimuendo opens the space up for Herrera to have a shot on the edge of the box. His effort looks goal-bound until it strikes a Lens defender.

PSG aren't prepared to settle for a draw tonight, it appears. It's not in the club's DNA. No matter the circumstances.

Close! Ruiz-Atil, on his debut, cuts in from the left and with his right-foot unleashes a dangerous shot that looks destined for the corner of Leca's goal. It drifts just wide, though.

PSG win a free-kick which Herrera takes quickly, squeezing it through the defence, searching for Kalimuendo. Leca is alert to the danger, though and races off his line to smother the ball.

Lens hit the post! Oh, what a let off for PSG! Good hold up play initially from Ganago, he then knocks the ball into space, carves inside and creates the opening for a shot on the edge of the box. His curled effort smacks off the bottom of the post!

Nice build-up play from PSG as the ball falls to Kurzawa on the right. It falls to the wrong man, however, as he scuffs his shot well wide.

Tuchel has to win the Champions League this season to keep his job, you would imagine. The league is the bread and butter but it's Europe where the hierarchy want this team to shine.

A penny for Thomas Tuchel's thoughts. Three weeks ago he was preparing his side for the biggest game of their careers; tonight, his patched up PSG players are away to Lens in the first game of the season.

PSG are beginning to see a lot more of the ball now. Herrera drives into space through the middle but instead of opting for a shot he tries an eye-of-the-needle pass and it doesn't come off.

Verrati swings the cross into the packed Lens penalty area but the hosts stand firm and clear their lines.

PSG win a free-kick, on the right, in a perfect crossing position. A chance to test the home side's defence.

The hosts are asking all of the early questions and this time they threaten down the left. Banza is involved again, picking out Ganogo in the middle but his touch lets him down! Such a waste!

Lens start immediately on the front foot, Banza exposing an opening in the PSG defence, but Bernat gets across to make a desperate last-ditch block.

Kick-off! Lens get the game underway in their traditional yellow and red. PSG, missing seven regulars, are in their white away strip.

A moment's silence is being held for the people who have lost their lives throughout the pandemic.

I can't tell you how refreshing it is to hear actual supporters in the stadium rather than the computer generated crowd sound. RC Lens are here and they're going to make noise.

Five minutes until kick-off now. It's RC Lens versus PSG, it's LIVE and it's NEXT!

Team news in full - Lens XI: Leca, Gradit, Bade, Medina, Michelin, Doucoure, Perez, Sylla, Kakuta, Ganago, Banza.. subs: Farinez, Sotoca, Robail, Clauss, Fortes, Cahuzac, Mauricio, Jean, Boura. /// PSG XI: Bulka, Kehrer, Kimpembe, Kurzawa, Bernat, Herrera, Gueye, Verratti, Sarabia, Kalimuendo, Ruiz-Atil.. subs: Innocent, Diallo, Bakker, Dagba, Dembele, Fadiga, Jese, Simons.

Supporters, yes, actual human beings, will be in attendance at Stade Bollaert-Delelis for Lens' first home match of the season tonight. 5,000 of them.

Newly-promoted Lens suffered a 2-1 defeat at Nice in their opening fixture of the season, but they will never have a better opportunity to beat PSG. Head coach Franck Haise is playing down his side's chances, however. "I'm happy to be playing again and to be taking on the Champions League finalists, even if they won't have all their players," Haise said. "Do you want me to say we are favourites? No, we are not favourites. We are up against PSG, even if they won't be at full strength. There'll still be plenty of fine players at PSG and we know it will be very difficult in any case."

And tonight's hosts...

Goalkeeper Marcin Bulka makes only his second appearance for the Ligue 1 champions. Arnaud Kalimuendo heads the 4-3-3 formation, with Kays Ruiz-Atil and Pablo Saratia playing either side. Former Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye plays centre midfield. Thiago Silva has moved to Chelsea, so Layvin Kurzawa takes up his position at centre-back alongside Presnel Kimpembe.

That's certainly a much changed PSG side, eh? There's no Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Keylor Navas, Mauro Icardi or Angel Di Maria in their squad tonight. Leandro Paredes and Marquinhos are also missing. They have all tested positive for Covid-19.

The team news has finally dropped; let's start with the visitors...
