Manager Keith Curle agrees new deal with Carlisle United

Carlisle manager Keith Curle has agreed a contract extension until June 2018.

The 52-year-old former England defender joined the Cumbrians in September 2014 and the club currently sit ninth in League Two, just two points outside the play-off places.

Chairman Andrew Jenkins told the club's official website: "I am very pleased that Keith has agreed the extension as he has brought a new focus and impetus to the club over the course of the last twelve months.

"He successfully steered us away from relegation last season and has continued the good work by building a stronger squad and by implementing a realignment of the club's footballing focus."
