Galaxy beat Impact despite Zlatan Ibrahimovic's first-half red card

Ola Kamara scored in the 75th minute as the Los Angeles Galaxy ended a four-game losing streak with a 1-0 win over the Montreal Impact in a match that saw LA star forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic sent off in the 41st minute for violent conduct during the holiday matinee at Stade Saputo on Monday afternoon.

Kamara took a headed ball from Emmanuel Boateng and dribbled in between two Impact players before beating goalkeeper Evan Bush to extend his goal streak to four matches. He has five goals for the Galaxy.
David Bingham made five saves for his third shutout of the season.
Montreal have lost three straight, all by shutouts, and have a win and seven losses in the past eight games.
Ibrahimovic, in his eighth MLS game since coming from Manchester United, slapped Montreal's Michael Petrasso on the right side of his face after the defender stepped back onto the Swedish standout's foot in a play off the ball.
There initially was no call, but after a video review, referee Ismail Elfath showed a red card to Ibrahimovic and yellow to Petrasso. Ibrahimovic will miss the Galaxy's home game Friday versus the San Jose Earthquakes.
His 14th career red card was his first in league play since November 3, 2012, when he played for Paris Saint-Germain.
Montreal pressed with the man advantage, but Bingham made back-to-back saves on Alejandro Silva in the 54th minute and a straight-on strike by Raheem Edwards a minute later.
The Galaxy had allowed multiple goals in the previous four games, including three in each of the prior three games, all 3-2 defeats.
The Victoria Day match was held 25 years to the day since the Impact franchise debuted with a game in the America Professional Soccer League.
Montreal plays at Minnesota on Saturday.
