Birmingham have appointed Paul Robinson to the club’s backroom staff following his retirement as a player.
Blues’ former captain and defender Robinson, 39, will take up his new role as assistant senior professional development coach.
“Robinson will work alongside Richard Beale bringing through the club’s under-23s development squad,” Birmingham said on their official website.
“The club advertised the role and following a thorough interview process Robinson was the preferred candidate.”
Robinson ended his 22-year playing career as a substitute in the home win against Fulham on the final day of the season.
It was his 175th appearance for Birmingham and the 765th of his career, which included spells at first club Watford, West Brom and Bolton. He also had a loan spell at Leeds.
