Daniel Sturridge back in Liverpool starting line-up for Norwich match

The England striker has been missing since April after undergoing a hip operation in the USA. He partners Christian Benteke for the first time.

Mamadou Sakho, who signed a new contract on Friday, returns to the starting eleven in place of Dejan Lovren while Alberto Moreno comes in for Joe Gomez.

Norwich make two changes from the 3-0 win over Bournemouth with Steven Whitaker replacing the ineligible Andre Wisdom and Graham Dorrans replacing Wes Hoolahan.

Brendan Rodgers: "Norwich will be difficult for us, Alex has done great since he’s gone in there, got them promoted, and that momentum has carried on well. They’re a good side, managed really well, and we understand and respect it will be a real difficult game for us. But it’s really up to us to impose ourselves on the game with our quality and our intensity. That will be key for us over the next four games.”

Alex Neil: "Going to one of the top six away from home is always going to be tough. But as some of the other teams have shown this season it's more than achievable to go there and give a good account of yourself and hopefully get something from the game."
