Vardy had put the Foxes 1-0 up in the first half, but was sent off 10 minutes after half-time for a second yellow card.
The England striker appeared to get his feet tangled up after battling with West Ham defender Angelo Ogbonna in the 56 minute, with referee Jon Moss immediately deeming it to be simulation from the 29-year-old.

He will miss Leicester's match against Swansea unless the club successfully get the decision overturned.
Vardy had earlier netted his 22nd league goal of the season after turning in N’Golo Kante’s pass with just 18 minutes on the clock.

WAS IT REALLY A DIVE?

Replays clearly showed contact between Vardy and West Ham's Angelo Ogbonna, suggesting that the decision may yet be reversed.

Ogbonna had grabbed Vardy's arm as the two chased the ball into the box, and the striker only went down as his legs got tangled up with his opponent.
He did veer into Ogbonna's path, however, and threw his arms up to appeal for a spot kick even before he'd hit the turf - actions which split opinion over the incident.
