Again City pour forward and win a corner with brilliant link-up play. This is superb stuff from Pellegrini's side.

Eddie Howe is out on the touchline screaming out instructions to his players. His team have been out-classed so far, but the manager will be desperate to avoid a humiliation... which is very much on the cards.

This opening 20 minutes has shown just how much City have missed De Bruyne in the last few months. He has been everywhere for the visitors, drifting into pockets of space, linking up well with Silva and Aguero, and worrying the Bournemouth defence with his pace in behind. If Pep Guardiola was worried about the quality in the squad he's inheriting, then he won't be any more (in attack at least).

GOOOAAALLL!!! Sergio Aguero makes it 3-0 to City, rising high at the back post to head home Navas' chipped cross. Again it was De Bruyne who was pulling the strings in the build-up. This game looks to be done and dusted and we've not even played 20 minutes yet.

De Bruyne is again in the thick of the action, lashing over the bar after more intricate build-up play. It's brilliant football from the visitors and Bournemouth look shell-shocked.

De Bruyne turns into space and picks out Aguero in space, but the striker's shot from distance flies over the bar. City are in the mood... and then some. It's like watching a different team from recent weeks.

GOOOAAALLL!!! De Bruyne finishes off a beautiful flowing move to make it 2-0 to City. Silva nicked possession on the edge of the box, before combining perfectly with Aguero and volleying an assist to De Bruyne. The finish was top-class too. What a lovely goal.

The goal has changed the complexion of the game and you can almost see the confidence flowing back into the City team. It may have something to do with the presence of De Bruyne on the pitch. The Belgian has been superb in the early stages, combining nicely with Silva.

GOOOAAALLL!!! Fernando opens the scoring for Man City, volleying home a loose ball from a corner. Bournemouth keeper Boruc was slow to react as the shot looped past him, but City won't mind having the stopper to thank. 1-0.

It's an extremely open game early on, with City committing numbers forward and Bournemouth playing with the intention of making them pay for that approach.

Bournemouth tear forward on the break, but King snatches at his shot from an angle, sending it across the face of goal and out for a goal-kick. The danger is already there to see and the Dean Court faithful roar their approval.

Bournemouth have started the game the brighter of the two teams, pinning City back in their own half and looking to test the Otamendi and Mangala centre-back partnership early on.

City get the game underway, kitted out in their usual sky blue and white. Bournemouth are in their familiar red and black home strip.
