Mane picks up the ball on the edge of the box. He sprints past three players and tries to squeeze in a shot at the near post, but it hits the side netting.

Nothing from the corner. Tadic plays in Pelle, who attempts to dink a ball inside for Tadic's run, but it's far too weak a hit.

Fonte isn't in the mood to take a risk, and Yoshida replaces him.

Fonte looks a little rattled, and is talking to the ref. He's coming off, as he appears pretty dizzy. It might be that he just needs treatment, but Yoshida is warming up in case.

Mirallas has space to drive in from the left. He lines up a shot from distance, and his low effort flicks off the boot of Fonte to win a corner on the right wing.

Tadic and Martina swap passes, and Tadic lays it off to Clasie, whose cross is headed out.

Mane finds Tadic, who takes a heavy touch forward which forces Everton to clear it long.

Forster comes out to control a long ball that didn't find its target.

Kone brings down a high ball on the halfway line, and Fonte comes straight into him with his own effort to win the ball. Foul for Everton on the left wing.

Kone heads towards Mirallas, but Southampton intercept and attack quickly, sending it to Mane on the inside left. He rolls a ball into the box but it finds nobody.

Mirallas gets past Fonte and looks like he's through on goal, but Fonte slyly drags him back with an obscured arm.

There have been a few players going down so far, the closing down inviting late tackles.

Oviedo hobbles back on after treatment, and is sent back off for coming on without permission.

Oviedo falls as he controls the ball on the touchline, allowing Tadic to seize the ball drive forward and then inside, before launching a low shot at goal that Robles stops.

Tadic lifts a cross to the back post for Mane, but it's too high and well hit, and drifts out of play.

It's a scrappy game so far, with the game taking place in a compact part of the pitch. Both sides closing down the other and giving their opponents little room to operate in.

Long sends in a cross after Southampton break down the left, and it's too far away from anyone. It's sent back in, Mane heads it back across goal. The ball falls to Tadic, who hooks a volley just over.

Mirallas controls a low cross from the right from Deulofeu, and fires a shot at goal that is blocked.
