Hello and welcome to LIVE text commentary of the Premier League clash between Norwich City and Manchester City. This encounter represents a great opportunity for the Citizens to get their title bid back on track. The visitors will be hoping to build upon their 4-0 win over Aston Villa last time out, a result that brought an end to a damaging three-match losing run in the league. A victory at Carrow Road would move them up to third, seven points behind leaders Leicester who entertain Newcastle on Monday. Kick off 12.45pm GMT.

Aguero races clear and stabs the ball wide of Ruddy's post - but he's flagged offside so the miss doesn't matter. You'd expect him to tuck those away in his current form.

DID YOU KNOW? The only one team that has prevented Norwich City from scoring in their last nine Premier League games at Carrow Road was Tottenham Hotspur.

Norwich win their first corner of the game. It is cleared only as far as Martin Olsson who lashes a 35 yarder well wide.
8'
The resulting corner comes to nothing and Norwich finally have some respite.
7'
The corner is only half cleared. Fernandinho exchanges a one-two with Aguero but his cross is diverted behind. It's already all hands to the pump for the hosts.
6'
The visitors are looking dangerous. Martin heads a right-wing cross straight to Aguero who cuts in from the left of the area and crashes a shot against the defender and out for a corner.
5'
Kompany rises with Ruddy and beats the Norwich keeper to the free kick delivery but the knock down is headed away by the Norwich rearguard.
4'
Martin bundles Silva to the ground midway in the home side's half. The referee refuses the temptation to show an early card. Opportunity for Man City to load one into the area.

The Canaries have won just one of the last 13 Premier League matches against the Citizens (W1 D5 L7) and are on a wretched run in general. Can they somehow pull off a major surprise today?

Alex Neil: "Three out of the last four performances have been very good, probably better than when we had that decent run earlier in the season, we just need the outcome to be a win which will give the players the boost going into the run-in. We are all really determined to get something from the game, we have done it against some of the other big teams so there is absolutely no reason why we can't do it."

Manuel Pellegrini: "It is a very important week. If we win the two league games, the pressure will be on the other teams. Reaching the Champions League quarter-final for the first time would be an important achievement. I hope we will do it."

Man City make just one change from the 4-0 win over Aston Villa.

Norwich are desperate to address an alarming slump that has seen them lose eight of their last nine games in the league. The Canaries are currently languishing in the bottom three but remain just one point behind Sunderland in 17th spot. A shock victory here would propel them out of the relegation places and give them a huge lift for the final push. However, they are missing some key personnel and make four changes to their line-up. The most notable sees Cameron Jerome named on the bench with Patrick Bamford, on loan from Chelsea, making his first start for the club in attack.
