Hello and welcome to our LIVE text commentary of Tottenham's crucial clash with Stoke from the Britannia Stadium. None of the top five have won here, but Spurs have to do just that to reignite their title tilt. Leicester dropped points yesterday, meaning only victory will do for Mauricio Pochettino's men in Staffordshire. I'm Pete Hall, and I will be bringing you the action, as it happens, live!

EXTRAORDINARY MISS! Somehow Alli doesn't find the net! The England midfielder rounds Given, but somehow hits the post with the goal gaping!

What a sublime goal from the title chasers. Walker is again in the thick of it, winning a header, nodding it into the path of Eriksen, who brilliantly disguises the pass into Alli, who takes two great touches and dinks the ball over the onrushing Given.

GOAL! Stoke 0-2 Tottenham. The second was worth the wait, as Alli scores a superb goal to put Spurs in command.
    66'
Patient build-up from the Potters works the ball into the path of Joselu, who has his moment, but hammers well over the top.
    65'
Still very cagey. Stoke coming back into it slightly, but not finding that killer pass. Joselu has barely had a touch.
    63'
Dier has adopted his usual role, dropping back into the back three, allowing both full-backs to get forward.
    62'
Lloris has to be alert to get back on his line and catch a over-hit cross from Cameron. Spurs still looking a little nervy.

Finally, with an hour on the clock, we have our first yellow card, with Imbula cautioned for a foul on Dier.

Replays show Stoke have really got away with it. When is grappling in the box going to be punished on a regular basis?

NO PENALTY! A much better shout for Spurs, with Alderweireld seemingly wrestled to the ground by Shawcross. Nothing given. Now if that had been Jon Moss...

SAVE! Walker again showing great willingness to get forward, his cross finds its way to Lamela, who elects to shoot when he has other options, and Given blocks well. Kane was screaming for it!

CHANCE! Another great chance missed from Spurs. Superb lay-off from Eriksen into the path of Alli, who simply has to keep it down to score, but blazes over.
    53'
Spurs looking a little nervous here with gaps appearing in their defence. A second goal is a must.
    51'
It's been a lively start to the second half and a neat pass from Eriksen frees Rose - who is now being booed by Stoke fans for a perceived dive. Cross doesn't find its target, however.
    50'
NO PENALTY! Danny Rose is down in the box, but referee Swarbrick is having none of it. Seemed to slip under challenge from Cameron. Correct call.
    48'
Afellay has come to life in the second half. He does well to delay long enough for space to emerge for the shot, but he drags wide. Much better.
    47'
Stoke come forward again through Arnautovic, before Afellay wins a free-kick midway through the Spurs half. A bright start from the home side.
    46'
Ibrahim Afellay has an ambitious effort from distance, but that is always going over the top. The former Barcelona man has been so quiet so far.

Change for Stoke as we get under way again, with Shaqiri making way, to be replaced by Joselu.

Will it be the only thing the Foxes better this season?
