Manchester United 'resigned to losing David de Gea' to Real Madrid

Reports suggest that Manchester United have accepted David de Gea's desire to join Real Madrid this summer and will now focus on negotiating the best deal they can.
An article from GOAL.com claims that officials at the club are "resigned" to losing the 24-year-old this summer - especially with just one year left on his contract at Old Trafford.
Real Madrid have been widely expected to complete a deal for the Spanish international goalkeeper for some time now, bringing his four-year spell in the Premier League to an end.
After an unconvincing start to life at Old Trafford, de Gea has progressed dramatically - winning the Manchester United player of the year award for two consecutive seasons and becoming one of best goalkeepers in the world.
Manchester United's recent £28.5m bid for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is thought to be, in part, a way of negotiating a better deal with Real Madrid for de Gea.
Ramos is seeking wages of €10m per year at Real Madrid but Madrid president Florentino Perez has so far refused to meet his demands - with two years remaining on his contract.
A source close to Ramos, very close in fact, has poured cold water on a potential move to Manchester however, as his mother stressed: "He wants to stay in Madrid"
While a deal to bring Ramos to Manchester looks unlikely, de Gea's return to his native Madrid could well be a matter of days away.
