Mourinho wants Willian

We start with The Mail who report that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is still keen on signing Willian from Chelsea. The move has been reported for some time now and the Mail's story says that United are preparing a bid of £60 million to try to make the deal happen.
Paper Round's view: If you're Chelsea you take this deal immediately, right? Willian is a better player than Pedro but you're not going to get £60 million for Pedro. Take that money and use it to give the squad that injection of youth that it so desperately needs.

Wilshere considers Arsenal exit

Sticking with The Mail and it is reported that Jack Wilshere is considering leaving Arsenal as he fears he will not play regularly under new boss Unai Emery. Wilshere wants to stay at Arsenal but reportedly worries about his playing time next season with Wolves, West Ham, Everton and Juventus mentioned as possible destinations.
Paper Round's view: If you're 26-year-old Jack Wilshere and there is actually an offer on the table from Juventus is it not the time to test yourself abroad? Juventus are the Italian champions and whilst there would be competition in the centre of midfield surely it's too good to pass up? Either way leaving Arsenal definitely seems like the logical move.

Juve make Golovin bid

Speaking of Juventus and in The Mirror it is reported that they have made the first move for Aleksandr Golovin, who has been linked to Arsenal, but they are still short of CSKA Moscow's valuation. Juve have offered £13 million but CSKA want at least £10 million more than that.
Paper Round's view: Golovin had a good reputation going into the World Cup and after just one game that has already enhanced. Even £23 million feels like a steal at the moment with the possibility for his star to rise even further.

Barca want Gundogan

And we end with a report that says Barcelona want Ilkay Gundogan as a replacement for Andres Iniesta. The report says City would ask for at least £50 million for the midfielder who still has two years left on his contract.
Paper Round's view: Gundogan is a slightly different player to Iniesta and it does seem unlikely that he would necessarily help their squad that much as fine a player as he is.
