Arsene Wenger has conceded Arsenal duo Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez could leave the Emirates in January.
The Arsenal boss says he has “envisaged every solution” with Ozil and Sanchez both in the final year of their contracts at the club.
"Once you're in our kind of situation, you envisage every solution, yes. It's possible," Wenger said.
I always said that the fact we didn't sign an agreement [with Sanchez and Ozil in the summer] doesn't mean that the player will leave.
"Both players are happy here. I hope the situation can be turned around. At the moment we are not close enough to announce anything."
Ozil and Sanchez have been at the centre of an ongoing contract saga at the Emirates for more than a year.
Both players have reportedly been offered £300,000-a-week deals to stay at the club, but the delay in putting pen to paper has led many to believe that neither will remain at Arsenal beyond this season.
Sanchez was close to joining Manchester City on deadline day in the summer, and Pep Guardiola could be forced into a January move for the Chilean to fend off PSG’s advances – the MENreports.
City would reportedly prefer to sign the 28-year-old next summer on a free, but PSG’s growing interest means the Premier League side will have to bring the proposed move forward.
Meanwhile, Ozil’s agent claimed talks are progressing well with Arsenal on Wednesday, though the German has been linked with a move to Manchester United, where he would team up with former manager Jose Mourinho.
Ozil enjoyed league and cup glory under Mourinho at Real Madrid, where achieved his highest placing in the Ballon d’Or standings of 11th in 2011.
