Chelsea are joining Manchester United in a race to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal - but Manchester City have bowed out of the transfer battle.
City refused to go above their ceiling of a £20million transfer fee for the striker - who had previously said he would be keen to work with Pep Guardiola again.
The Chilean was then expected to sign for United with a deal worth around £400,000 per week, making him the highest paid player at the club.
United are thought to be offering a transfer fee of £30million plus Henrikh Mkhitaryan - but now with Chelsea indicating their interest, they may be forced to raise their price even higher.
