It really was quite some move from Spurs for that fourth. One-touch and flicks galore, followed by a blisterting finish.

Everton in danger of taking a real drubbing here. Spurs look hungry for more.

Son goes one on one with Holgate, who gets across to make a crucial block as the forward looked to let fly once more.

More slick play from Spurs. Son cuts in from the left and sees his low drive saved by Pickford. Alli meets the rebound but can only steer straight at the keeper.

Spurs heading towards an 11th unbeaten match at Wembley. Those old woes from last season seem a long way back now.

SAVE! Kane drives towards goal and rasps in a bouncing right-foot drive that Pickford parries to safety.

Everton preparing to bring on Lennon.

Spurs enjoying themselves now. Son and Alli exchange some quick-fire passing with the latter getting free on the left of the box before flashing into the near-post side netting.

Everton will perhaps feel a bit aggrieved about the offside decision, but need too channel it in the right way now and try to work a way back into this.

The same referee's assistant who correctly called Rooney's goal offside in the first half is taking a bit of criticism now. Suggestions are Kane was offside.

Goal number 27 for Kane - but was he offside? Replays showing it was a close one.

Jagielka booked for a late swing at Alli, who was surging away down the left.

Spurs happy for the visitors to be more adventurous as it gives them more space to operate in on the counter attack. They look to spring forward again, but this time Kane is caught offside.

Eriksen's corner is well headed to safety by Rooney. Everton look to launch a late period of pressure to try and sneak level before the break.

Spurs prove again. This time they attack down the left, but Davies can't get his cross from the byline into the danger zone.

As it stands, Spurs will stay fifth but move level on points with fourth-placed Liverpool who face Manchester City tomorrow. Everton would stay ninth.

Tosun gets free down the left but can't find Rooney with his cut back. Everton keep it alive, but Sigurdsson can only stab well over from the edge of the box under pressure.

DID YOU KNOW? Everton's last three matches at Wembley have finished in 2-1 defeats. They were in the FA Cup against Chelsea in the 2009 final, Liverpool in a 2012 semi-final and Manchester United in 2016.

Eriksen finds space on the right and wastes little time volleying an awkward ball in towards the runs of Kane and Alli. However, Pickford is alert to the danger and quick off his line to gather.

Kane tries to roll Holgate on the right of the box, but the young defender is having none of it and nips in to easily come away with the ball. Kane is clearly frustrated and commits a late foul to give Everton a way out.

Kenny bombs beyond Bolasie and whips in a cross that Tosun meets with a header that he can't keep down.

Sigurdsson over a free kick. Everton throw the big men forward but the Icelandic midfielder's delivery is too close to Lloris.

Vertonghen urged to shoot from miles out by the crowd. He obliges but sees his speculative effort easily blocked.

Everton paying the price for giving Aurier all that space. Sigurdsson keeps tucking in and it's allowing Spurs to switch the play and pour forward down that right flank.

Son notching for the fifth straight home league game and equalling Defoe's feat set back in 2004.

GOAL! Son steers Aurier's driven cross-shot in from inside the six-yard box after Eriksen had found the full back in acres of space once again.

Kane with another attempt, but this time his 25-yard drive is well gathered by Pickford.

At the other end, Dembele feeds Kane who sees a venomous drive beaten away by Pickford.

A decent spell for Everton sees the visitors win a corner. Murmurs of concern from the Spurs crowd. The Blues win another set piece on the right and Rooney nods in from Tosun's flick on - but is flagged offside. Close!

Everton win a free kick midway in the Tottenham half. Sigurdsson curves a dangerous ball towards a flurry of blue shirts, but Vertonghen rises highest to avert the danger.

Another Aurier cross is diverted to safety. No doubt the full back is the main outlet for Spurs, but so far his delivery hasn't been up to scratch.

Aurier with a hopeful 40-yard pass towards Kane that Jagielka easily reads and deals with. Just what Big Sam and Co want Spurs to start doing.

STAT: Everton's have managed just one solitary away win in 43 attempts against the current top six teams.

Tosun touches a high pass into the path of Rooney who races to the edge of the box, but drags wide. Lovely flick from the Everton new man though.

Free kick to Spurs on the left. Eriksen whips it in with real pace and Son flicks a header just wide.

Alli pinches the ball in the Everton half and touches it into Kane's path. The forward is driven wide as he ventures into the right side of the box, but his dinked cross has too much on it and Everton breathe a sigh of relief.

Aurier getting free on the right time and time again, but once more his cross is headed away. This time it's Jagielka clearing Everton's lines.

Holgate gets across well to thwart Alli after the Spurs midfielder threatened to burst clean through.

Tottenham bossing it with almost 60 per cent of the possession. No real efforts of note yet though.

Tosun drifts off Davinson Sanchez and takes Gueye's pass in his stride. It's his first real involvement and it ends all too quickly as a heavy touch allows the defender to get back and nick it back.

Son Heung-Min looking to score in a fifth straight home PL game. If he does, he'll match Jermain Defoe's feat set in 2004 for the Lilywhites.

Tottenham beginning to dictate the play. Everton dropping deep into a well-drilled defensive unit. That's the mark of Big Sam if ever you've seen it.

Alli takes a ball on the spin and the centre circle and sweeps it wide to Aurier, who is in acres on the right. The full back looks for Kane with his delivery but sees it diverted behind for a corner. The resulting set piece comes to nothing.

A dangerous ball in from the left from Eriksen interests Kane, but Jagielka gets in front of the striker to power an important header clear.

As you'd expect from that record, it's been a while since Everton tasted victory away to Tottenham. They have lost six and drawn three of the nine meetings in all competitions since November 2008.

Head-to-head: Tottenham have won five and drawn five of the last 10 league encounters. Spurs have won more PL games (24) against the Toffees than any other team. Ominous for the visitors?

  • 1st Half

KICK OFF! Everton get the contest underway. Both sides are starting with a 4-2-3-1 system.

DID YOU KNOW? The Toffees could lose their first three matches at the start of a year for the first time since 1960.

Allardyce: "I think the service provided in the final third is one of our weaknesses and why we're not scoring enough goals. We don't have enough natural goalscorers so we have to try and work on that without losing our defensive qualities. You're all aware of our interest in Theo Walcott. If that can all be sorted out, which is difficult, then he'd be a great addition."

Not that Kane prioritises personal glory, according to Mauricio Pochettino. The Spurs boss said: "For Harry it's so special to win titles and trophies at Tottenham. Of course, at the moment he achieves a lot of individual awards but he would like to offer our fans and the club collective trophies."

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, right, thinks striker Harry Kane, left, is priceless

Harry Kane is one behind Teddy Sheringham (97) on the leaderboard of players to score the most PL goals for the Lilywhites. Could he surpass him tonight?

Harry Kane has been in prolific form this season

Tosun was described as the 'best in Europe' for his price by Allardyce. Here's what the former Besiktas forward had to say about joining the Toffees: "Everton has really, really big names, big players. I'm excited to play with them and to learn from them as well, players like Wayne Rooney and the very good creative players we have here, too. I bring my skills here and everybody is going to see what kind of player I am."

Cenk Tosun has joined Everton

Tottenham makes one change from their last league match when they drew 1-1 with West Ham. Mousa Dembele replaces Moussa Sissoko.

Everton give a debut to new £27m signing, Cenk Tosun. He is one of six changes from the 2-0 reversal against Manchester United in their last league match. Gylfi Sigurdsson, James McCarthy, Phil Jagielka, Idrissa Gueye and Jonjoe Kenny are also involved from the off.
