Jose's intent

Jose Mourinho is reportedly looking to bring two defensive players to Manchester United in January in a move which shows the manager's intent to remain at Old Trafford long-term. The Mirror are among the papers picking up on the ESPN's report that Mourinho is targeting Milan Skriniar of Inter Milan and Alessio Romagnoli of AC Milan as he looks to bolster his defence.
Paper Round's view: The master of distraction. If Mourinho can prove to the fans that he has the backing of the board then perhaps they can all pull in one direction. It's a big ask, though, and ultimately, it's results that count. Let's see if he makes it to January first.

Hazard’s first wish

Eden Hazard revealed to reporters he was torn on whether to sign a new contract at Chelsea or pursue a move to Real Madrid, and now the Mirror have released more quotes that show the Belgian’s first desire – winning trophies under Maurizio Sarri.
He said: “I am just thinking about this season. I want to win something with him and then we will think about what happens at the end of the season but now, in my head, it is just play and enjoy football then try to win the games.”
Paper Round’s view: It will be the biggest transfer saga of next summer, unless he comes out to declare his intent beforehand. Hazard clearly wants to join Real sooner or later, but Sarri could be just be the man to convince him to stay at Stamford Bridge for a few more years. Silverware is a must, but for now we can all just enjoy the sight of a resurgent Hazard, in what could be his best season yet.

Sancho the £100m man

Borussia Dortmund are confident they have a future £100m player in 18-year-old winger Jadon Sancho - the Mirror reports. The youngster's performances have earned him a call-up to England's senior squad, and the Bundesliga club believe he will make them a tidy profit in the coming years, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool all said to be interested.
Paper Round's view: The longer he stays in Germany, the better, it would seem. Away from the weekly scrutiny. Sancho appears to be developing into a fine player, and Dortmund appears to be the right environment for him - let's hope it stays that way for a while

Herrera back to Bilbao?

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera is being lined up for a return to Athletic Bilbao, the Daily Mail reports. The Spaniard’s current deal at Old Trafford runs out at the end of this season, and with a new contract yet to be agreed, and the 29-year-old is said to be considering his options should talks break down completely. Herrera joined United from Bilbao back in 2014.
Paper Round’s view: Herrera has been linked with a move away from United for some time, and as the clock ticks down on his current deal, it seems more likely than not that he will move on. A return home is certainly an attractive proposition.
