Peter Crouch cancelled out Jay Rodriguez's goal as West Brom drew 1-1 with Stoke City at The Hawthorns.
West Brom captain Jonny Evans sat out with an injury amid rumours of a possible move to Manchester City, while former West Brom colleague Darren Fletcher lined up for Stoke City.
Eric Choupo-Moting had a weak claim for a penalty waved away, and Kurt Zouma went closest with a deflected long-range effort.
In the second half, Rodriguez scored his first West Brom goal as he nodded in from Allan Nyom's cross.
It seemed West Brom would remain their 100% record until Peter Crouch seized on a defensive mistake to equalise. Stoke remain in mid-table on four points.

TALKING POINT

Can Sobhi establish himself in the first team? The Egyption winger is just 20, showed some promise last season, and scored an excellent solo goal - his first for Stoke - against Rochdale in midweek. Against West Brom he came on as a sub to poke a cross into the box that caused the confusion for Crouch's equaliser. Stoke need a player to replace Marko Arnautovic, and Sobhi has hinted he has the talent to do so.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Allan Nyom (West Brom): It isn't easy dealing with Xherdan Shaqiri and Jese, but Nyom handled the toughest examination on the pitch with calmness and authority. He was blameless for the equaliser, and showed the attacking instincts to send in the cross for Rodriguez's opening goal.

KEY EVENTS

8' - PENALTY APPEAL: Choupo-Moting cuts in from the right and into the box, and takes a tumble. The referee gives nothing, and the crowd call out with boos.
24' - FOSTER SAVE: Zouma ambles towards goal as West Brom back off. As Zouma elects to shoot, Barry sticks out a leg, and Zouma's deflected effort loops up into the air, forcing Foster to tip it over.
61' - GOAL! West Brom 1-0 Stoke. Rodriguez scores: Patient approach play from West Brom gives Nyom the chance to send in a cross from the right. It misses Rondon at the near post, bounces, and Rodriguez is on hand to stoop down and head past Butland.
66' - FOSTER SAVE: Phillips crosses with his right, to the back post, and Hegazi meets the ball with his head, forcing Butland to leap into the air and tip over.
73' - RODRIGUEZ HEADER: Brunt curls in the corner of the back post, and Rodriguez's header crashes onto the top of the crossbar.
77' - GOAL! West Brom 1-1 Stoke City. Crouch scores: Sobhi stabs in a cross towards Crouch. It seems Foster has it, but Hegazi sticks out a leg, it flaps off Foster, and Crouch has the chance to head into an empty net.
