Egypt manager Javier Aguirre has claimed Jurgen Klopp knows Liverpool could lose Mohamed Salah if they don’t win trophies over the next two years.
Salah scored 32 goals in 36 matches in the Premier League in his debut season at Anfield and netted 10 goals as Klopp’s season reached the Champions League final last term before losing 3-1 to Real Madrid.
Despite being in the form of his life, Aguirre believes Salah will move to a club that wins trophies if Liverpool fail to add to their League Cup triumph in 2012, the only trophy they have lifted since 2006.
“Salah may leave Liverpool in a season or two if he does not win trophies,” said Aguirre.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp knows that very well and that’s why they are working hard to win trophies.
Salah scored a last-minute winner as Egypt came from behind to end Tunisia’s 100 percent record in African Nations Cup qualifying with a 3-2 win in Alexandria on Friday.
