Chelsea scout 'new Ibrahimovic'

Chelsea sent scouts to watch Swedish striker Alexander Isak, according to the Mirror. The 19-year-old forward, who has been labelled the 'new Zlatan Ibrahimovic', is currently on loan at Willem II from Borussia Dortmund. Isak has attracted the attention of a handful of top European sides, including Real Madrid, since his January loan move to the Netherlands where he has scored 12 goals in 12 matches. The Mirror report that Chelsea are interested in signing the young forward as they debate whether to make current striker Gonzalo Higuain's loan move permanent in the summer.
Paper Round's view: Isak looks like he could become a top striker in the future. It was surprising when Borussia Dortmund signed him for a huge fee of £14 million in 2017 at the age of just 17 years old but he's beginning to show why he was valued at this price. The Swede's appearances were limited at the German club before being loan to Willem II, but with Marco Reus having to spend time playing as a false nine at times this year, it seems like Dortmund could use an additional forward in their squad next season. Chelsea's potential summer transfer ban would also restrict them from being able to sign Isak.

United want French forward

Manchester United are keeping an eye on Lyon and France under-21 striker Moussa Dembele, according to the Mirror. The former Celtic star has impressed the United scouts during his first season at the French club where he has scored 18 goals. The Mirror report that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is 'desperate' to improve the striking options in his squad, despite Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku scoring 13 and 15 goals respectively this season. The story also suggests that Arsenal hold a long-term interest in Dembele, and would compete with their Premier League rivals in the battle for the forward.
Paper Round's view: It's difficult to understand why Manchester United would be interested in signing a forward when Rashford and Lukaku have looked impressive since Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho. The pair fit in with Solskjaer's philosophy and have both hit form in recent months. Similar to Arsenal - whose attacking options consist of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - United have more important aspects of their squad that desperately need improvement, despite Dembele being a great goalscorer.

Lloris to be replaced with Croatia keeper

World Cup winner Hugo Lloris is set to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer with a young Croatian goalkeeper moving to North London, according to the Daily Star. Mauricio Pochettino is eyeing up a move for Osijek FC's Marko Malenica, who has reportedly gained interest from a number of Premier League clubs. Lloris is rumoured to be moved on by the club, with current second choice goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga being promoted to the role as a starter, and Malencia being brought in to act as back up. The 25-year-old could cost 'as little as £1 million', a low risk fee for a Premier League club.
Paper Round's view: Lloris has been culpable for a few high-profile errors this season and the future of his career at Spurs has been debated throughout the year. It's hardly surprising that Pochettino could be tempted to move him on, but Gazzaniga has rarely played the role of a first-choice goalkeeper in his career. It could be a massive risk letting your captain leave during a summer that could potentially see plenty of changes in North London, with players like Christian Eriksen, Toby Alderwerield and Jan Vertonghen all linked with moves away from the club. Tottenham should try to keep hold of their leader, as Lloris is still a great goalkeeper and would need to be replaced with someone who is of a similar ability level in quality.

European giants fight for Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes was scouted by Manchester United, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain in Sporting Lisbon's win at Aves on Saturday, according to Portuguese media outlet A Bola. The 24-year-old midfielder incredibly scored his 28th goal of the season in the victory while Europe's finest were present and keeping tabs on him. It is reported that Sporting inserted a €100 million release clause in Fernandes' contract, meaning that his potential move could be one of the biggest transfers of the summer.
Paper Round's view: The midfielder has been labelled as the 'new Frank Lampard' due to his goalscoring ability, but he has also recorded 15 assists for the Portuguese side. It feels unlikely that Manchester United would spend such a large fee on another goalscoring midfield that could potentially limit the attacking role that Paul Pogba plays in the team. However, with Ander Herrera and, potentially, Juan Mata both on the way out this summer with their contracts set to expire, United would certainly need replacements in midfield.
