Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has said that he will see out the season with the Gunners before his contract expires.

Ramsey, 27, is in the final year of his contract and after initial reports suggested a new deal had been agreed it was subsequently reported that talks had broken down.

That leaves Ramsey free to negotiate with foreign clubs in January over a free transfer in the summer, with Italian giants AC Milan, Juventus and Inter Milan all linked.

However, speaking while on international duty Ramsey committed his short-term future to Arsenal replying to the question of this current season by saying:

" Of course, yeah. I am contracted to Arsenal and I am going to do my best now this season to try and achieve something special."

“Everything has been going great with the club. We thought we were in a position where we had agreed a deal but that’s no longer the case,” he said.

Reports have suggested that new manager Unai Emery has taken the decision to allow Ramsey to leave, with the club unwilling to offer him a significant rise on his current £110,000-a-week salary.
