Kane picked up an ankle injury in the 1-0 defeat against Manchester United on January 13, with the initial diagnosis suggesting he would be out until March.
However, the England captain joined his team-mates at Hotspur Way on Wednesday and could now feature in the lunchtime Premier League clash at Turf Moor.
Spurs’ attack have stepped up in Kane’s absence, winning all four Premier League matches and marching towards the Champions League quarter-finals with a 3-0 win over Borussia Dortmund last week.
Kane’s early return is a massive boost for the north Londoners, who are still in contention for domestic and European honours and face a testing period with five or their next six games on the road.
Tottenham can move within two points of league pacesetters Manchester City and Liverpool with victory at Burnley. The Reds face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, with City in League Cup final action against Chelsea.
