Jordie Clasie joins Feyenoord on season-long loan

Southampton midfielder Jordy Clasie has joined former club Feyenoord on a season-long loan.

The 27-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Club Brugge, has returned to the Dutch club where the Saints signed him from in 2015.

Clasie has made 49 appearances for Southampton but his future on the south coast looks to be over.

He has not featured for the Saints since May 2017 and will spend the upcoming season at the Eredivisie club.

A statement on the Southampton website read: “Everyone at the club would like to wish Jordy well for the season ahead.”
