The Belgian limped off in City’s 1-0 win over Spurs on the weekend, and manager Pep Guardiola confirmed the midfielder will miss out at Old Trafford due to a muscular problem.
Asked if De Bruyne will be available, Guardiola replied: “I don’t think so. It is a muscular problem.

“We will see the next days how he is getting better. But for tomorrow he is not available.”
City will be looking to take three points against United in their bid to reclaim top spot from Liverpool with their one Premier League game in hand.
Liverpool currently lead the way with 88 points and three games remaining, while City are two points adrift with four games to go.
Guardiola also said he expects Riyad Mahrez to stay at the Etihad beyond the summer after rumours surfaced the winger was looking leave one year after his club-record £60m move due to a lack of game-time.

“Riyad Mahrez will be with us next season and the next one and the next one. I don’t need to speak with him. He will be with us next season,” Guardiola added.
“He is a player for us. We are delighted with his behaviour and the way he [has] played.
“He knows, and everybody knows, there is competition in the squad but Riyad is not going to move, he is going to stay here.
“He is happy and we are happy.”
