What a result and performance from Arsenal. They were up against it at half time, trailing 2-1, but Emery made a couple of bold changes and that altered the course of the derby. The Gunners deserve their win. The energy and intensity of their game was most impressive.

- End of 2nd Half
FULL TIME: Arsenal 4-2 Tottenham Hotspur
Aubameyang has been the standout performer for Arsenal here. Torreira, Lacazette and Ramsey have all played well, but it's the striker who has been the main man for the Gunners.
This result will see Arsenal leapfrog Spurs in the Premier League table. These two North London rivals are competing for the same things this season. There will be more twists and turns.
The 'oles' are ringing around the Emirates now as Arsenal play with their beaten opponents. What a performance this has been from the Gunners. Very impressive indeed.
Six minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the match. Where has that come from?
- Yellow cardSerge AurierTottenham Hotspur
Now Aurier enters the book. He was nowhere near the ball as he tried to tackle Holding.
More scuffles! The two groups of players are at each other again. This time it's involving Winks and Xhaka, with the latter laughing at the former. The Arsenal players are enjoying this.
Vertonghen had a torrid afternoon. It was his handball that started things off, giving Arsenal the chance to take the lead from the spot, and his game finishes with a red card.
- Red cardJan VertonghenTottenham Hotspur
SENT OFF! As if things couldn't get any worse for Spurs, now they have been reduced to 10 men. Vertonghen is shown a second yellow card for a bad tackle on Lacazette and he walks.
- OffBen DaviesTottenham Hotspur
- OnDanny RoseTottenham Hotspur
Here comes Rose for Spurs, but it's surely too late for the away side to rescue something from this.
Arsenal have been exceptional in this second half. Emery was bold enough to change things at the interval and he has got his reward for that. Ramsey has been excellent since coming on.
- OffDele AlliTottenham Hotspur
- OnHarry WinksTottenham Hotspur
Winks is also on for Spurs. Pochettino is going for it now with his changes off the bench.
- OffHeung-Min SonTottenham Hotspur
- OnLucas MouraTottenham Hotspur
Is it too late for Spurs? Moura comes on for the final 10 minutes. Can he help mount a comeback?
- Yellow cardLucas TorreiraArsenal
Torreira took the yellow card for taking off his shirt celebrating that goal a few moments ago.
The threaded pass through from Aubameyang to Torreira for the goal was a good one, but Dier probably shouldn't have allowed himself to be turned so easily. Poor defending.
- GoalLucas TorreiraArsenal
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Arsenal 4 (77 mins - Lucas Torreira) Spurs 2. It's FOUR! The Emirates Stadium has exploded in celebration! Arsenal have a two-goal cushion and what a finish it was from Torreira after being played through by Aubameyang! It was a tight angle, but he found the far corner of the net.
It looked like the chance might have disappeared for Arsenal when Lacazette took control of the ball on the edge of the Spurs box. He was surrounded by defenders, but it didn't matter.
- GoalAlexandre LacazetteArsenal
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Arsenal 3 (75 mins - Alexandre Lacazette) Spurs 2. Arsenal are back in front again! Lacazette finds the corner of the net from about 20 yards out! Lloris seemed to dive in slow motion, but Lacazette's effort was too far into the corner! It might have taken a deflection on its way through.
It feels like the two teams are just taking a bit of a breather before cranking things up for the final 15 minutes. It's Arsenal on top at the minute, but we have said that before, of course.
- OffShkodran MustafiArsenal
- OnMattéo GuendouziArsenal
Nope, Mustafi has to come off with that injury and Guendouzi comes on for the German.
Mustafi injured? The German centre back is receiving some treatment. Might Arsenal have to use their final sub on an injury? It looks like Mustafi might be able to continue after all.
Bellerin gets away with one! The Spanish right back exhales. He gave the ball straight to Son 20 yards out, but his shot is saved by Leno and Arsenal scramble the clearance. Bellerin holds his hand up.
Foyth over his own bar! Good defensive intervention from the youngster! Lacazette's cross from the right was a good one, Foyth was under real pressure from Aubameyang, but he gets the clearance over his bar!
Aubameyang is so difficult to track. He drops deep, he runs in behind, he runs the channel... the Arsenal striker is all over the pitch making things happen. Spurs can't get near him.
- Yellow cardDele AlliTottenham Hotspur
Alli enters the book for a pretty obvious trip on Xhaka. He can have no real complaints about that.
We expected that this would be an interesting game and it has certainly proved to be. This has been one of the matches of the season so far. Anything could happen in the final 25 minutes!
Lacazette gets in behind the Spurs defence and cuts a ball back. Kolasinac plays it out to Ramsey, who for once gets it all wrong and slices his shot well wide of the near post.
Here's the finish. What a goal!
Ramsey has changed this game for Arsenal. His runs from deep are causing Spurs so many problems. The pendulum has once again swung back in the favour of the Gunners.
Torreiraaaaaaaa! That must have been close to finding the top corner! The Uruguayan midfielder let rip from the edge of the box after the ball fell to him, but it flashes over the target.
Aubameyang has been Arsenal's best player by quite some distance. This time he wins a corner kick for the home side who are back in the ascendancy. This is fantastic stuff.
Wonderful finish from Aubameyang. He is the best striker Arsenal have had since the days of Van Persie. That was such an instinctive finish from the Gabon international. Fantastic.
- GoalPierre-Emerick AubameyangArsenal
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Arsenal 2 (56 mins - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang) Spurs 2. What an incredible finish! Bellerin feeds Ramsey, who made the run from deep. He turns the pass around the corner for Aubameyang and from 18 yards out he curls a first time shot into the corner of the Spurs net.
This is better from Arsenal, who camp themselves on the edge of the opposition penalty area. But in the end the shot from Holding from distance was desperate. That was poor.
Spurs' pressing game is now forcing Arsenal into mistakes on the ball inside their own half. That wasn't happening in the early stages of the first half. This match has completely changed.
It's Spurs on top at the moment. They are first to every ball and with Aubameyang and Lacazette up top Arsenal look slightly top heavy at the start of this second half. Not quite balanced.
Kane freekick, good save! From a relatively tight angle, Kane whips a freekick strike towards goal. But Leno gets up a hand to push the ball away from goal and over for a corner.
- Yellow cardGranit XhakaArsenal
Arsenal give away a freekick in a dangerous position and Xhaka picks up a yellow for the foul on Alli.
Spurs were all over the place in the opening 20 minutes of this match. Arsenal feasibly could have been out of sight, but the turnaround from Pochettino's men since then has been remarkable.
Those are some bold moves from Emery. Arsenal played rather well in the first half, but their manager has decided to change things. It looks to be a change of system as well.
It's been a fiery one so far!
- OffHenrikh MkhitaryanArsenal
- OnAaron RamseyArsenal
... and the second change sees Ramsey coming on for the largely ineffective Mkhitaryan.
- OffAlex IwobiArsenal
- OnAlexandre LacazetteArsenal
Emery hasn't wasted any time in changing things. He has thrown on Lacazette for Iwobi...
- 2nd Half
The second half is under way! Spurs hold a 2-1 lead over Arsenal after the opening 45 minutes.
What did you make of the first half of the North London derby? Can Arsenal pick up their opening 20-minute intensity? Will Spurs hold on for a hugely important three points? Tweet me!
- End of 1st Half
HALF TIME: Arsenal 1-2 Spurs. What. A. Half. That was sensational stuff. Probably the best half of football in the Premier League this season. There has been so much to talk about.
Off the bar! Lloris might have had it covered, but Mustafi hits the crossbar with a looping header from a corner kick to the back post. Arsenal inches away from an equaliser. Wooft.
Touch let him down! That was a decent opportunity for Aubameyang, with Mkhitaryan's cross finding him. But the striker's first touch was a poor one and the tackle was made.
Three minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the first half.
Aubamayaaaaaang! He was offside. It wouldn't have counted anyway. Kolasinac played the early cross into Aubameyang, who from a one-on-one was denied by Lloris. He was offside, though.
If this scoreline holds until half time, and there's no guarantee that it will given what we have seen so far, what changes will Emery make at the break? Will he stick with things the way they are?
Everything looked so easy for Arsenal in the opening 20 minutes. They were suffocating Spurs with their movement and fast passing, but now their play seems laboured. Such a turnaround.
This match has barely taken a moment to settle so far. It's been played at lightning pace and there has been incident all over the place! It's actually quite difficult to keep up!
- Yellow cardShkodran MustafiArsenal
Mustafi enters the book for a late tackle as some of the Arsenal players lose their composure.
Arsenal have now lost their way. They have been shell shocked by what has happened in the last 15 minutes or so. They were so comprehensively on top and now they are trailing!
Back when times were good for Arsenal...
We suspected that this might be a proper game, and so it has turned out in this first half. What a contest. Spurs have completely turned the match on its head! How will Arsenal respond?
- Goal by penaltyHarry KaneTottenham Hotspur
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Arsenal 1 Spurs 2 (34 mins - Harry Kane pen). Having been battered for 20 minutes at the start of the match, Spurs are now ahead! Kane steps up to the penalty spot and sends Leno the wrong way. That was a confident finish from a man who always plays well in these games!
PENALTY KICK TO SPURS! Incredible! Holding dives in on Son and brings down the Spurs attacker. Dean points to the spot!
- Yellow cardEric DierTottenham Hotspur
Dier has entered the book for his role in that scuffle between the two sets of players.
All kicking off! There's a fracas down at the corner flag after the scoring of the Spurs goal! Dier put a finger to his lips in the direction of the Arsenal fans and the Arsenal subs didn't like that!
- GoalEric DierTottenham Hotspur
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Arsenal 1 Spurs 1 (30 mins - Eric Dier). An equaliser! It's Dier! He got ahead of his marker from the freekick from Eriksen and flicked a header at the near post towards goal! Leno couldn't keep it out and palms it up into the roof of the net! Might the keeper have done better?
Indeed, this is now more of an even contest. Spurs are starting to influence things in the centre of the pitch. Arsenal are having to do some defending, which wasn't happening in the first 20 minutes or so.
That was a chance on the counter! Mkhitaryan gets dispossessed and allows Spurs to break. Sissoko was looking for Eriksen at the back post, but Leno can catch the delivery.
Kane has hardly had a sniff in this game so far. He hasn't had much service and any Spurs counter attacks have come through either Alli or Son. Very quiet in this first half.
Might Emery rue his side not making more of their chances when they were so comprehensively on top early on in this match? There's just the sense that Spurs are getting to grips with things.
Leno saves from Son! The South Korean international jinks through the tackles of two Arsenal defenders and fires off a low shot. But Leno gets down well to make the diving save.
Spurs are just beginning to show a little more on the counter attack now. Arsenal are dominating the possession, but the away side are at least making an impression in the opposition half now.
Sissoko was offside! Just for a moment it looked the Spurs midfielder had been played clean through on goal. His effort was saved by Leno anyway, but the flag was raised for offside.
Another Arsenal chance! Now it's Bellerin who has the chance to add a second for the home side, with a cross played to the back post. But Davies gets across to make the block from the Spaniard.
IWOBI... saved! Arsenal take a quick, cross-field freekick, setting Kolasinac in behind. He cuts the pass back for Iwobi, who was unmarked about 12 yards out. His shot was a good one, but Lloris makes the save!
Another look at the penalty incident...
Finally, for the first time in the opening 17 minutes, we have a lull in the match. Both teams, particularly Arsenal, are just taking a breather after what has been a lightning start.
This has been a remarkable 15 minute spell from Arsenal. With the exception of that shot from Son, Spurs just haven't been able to make any sort of mark on the match so far.
Behind him! That was a chance for Aubameyang to grab a second. Kolasinac's cross was slightly behind the Arsenal striker and he scuffed his shot from a matter of yards out.
Son draws the save! Arsenal give the ball away in the centre of the pitch, with Alli lobbing a pass over the top for Son to chase. He gets the shot away, but Leno makes the save at his near post.
This has been an extremely strong start to the game from Arsenal. They have been energetic, but not erratic. Spurs need to gather themselves because they are all over the place.
- Goal by penaltyPierre-Emerick AubameyangArsenal
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Arsenal 1 (10 mins - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pen) Spurs 0. First blood to the Gunners and they deserve it! Aubameyang steps up to the penalty spot and rolls a calm finish into the left-hand side of the net, with Lloris diving to the opposite side. Arsenal are on top and ahead!
- Yellow cardJan VertonghenTottenham Hotspur
Vertonghen enters the book for that handball. What was he doing with his arm so high in the arm as he jumped for the freekick? So strange.
PENALTY KICK TO ARSENAL! Dean spots a handball in the area from a freekick and points to the spot! It was Vertonghen!
The Gunners have been first to every ball in the early exchanges of this match. They have started well on top. Pochettino already looks to be tinkering with his team. Son is playing closer to Kane.
Some questions have been asked of Mkhitaryan this season. Many believe that the Armenian hasn't done enough. This is an opportunity for him to show he can influence a big game.
This has been a lightning start from Arsenal. They are finding space in behind the full backs to gallop into. Spurs need to weather this storm. The home fans are enjoying this.
Arsenal have become a high intensity team under Emery this season and it's clear to see the tempo with which they are playing in the early stages of this derby match. On top.
Aubameyang header! Arsenal make a positive start to the match, with Mkhitaryan released down the right side. He crossed for Aubameyang, who could only direct his header over.

No Lamela! The big piece of team news for Spurs is that Lamela hasn't recovered in time for the match. Alderweireld drops out of the side, with the youngster Foyth favoured. Big call from Pochettino.
No Ozil! So the Arsenal team is an interesting one. Ozil is missing with an injury. Lacazette is also on the bench for the Gunners, as is Ramsey. Very intriguing team from Emery.
