That's it, full time. Southampton will be disappointed in themselves for not taking advantage of Liverpool's poor early start, but this is about Liverpool, and Salah. They are not letting City get away, at least not yet, and City now have to keep their eye both on the quadruple and on an exacting title challenge.
The Liverpool fan are in full voice, but they are not singing You Will Never Walk Alone. Weird.
There will be four minutes of added time, if indications are correct. Bertrrand is down injured and that's what Henderson is booked for. It was a grim challenge.

Liverpool could feel the momentum blow away from them for the first time in a couple of weeks tonight, and there's not enough time to be certain of winning it back.
20 minutes of normal time left. Firmino is found offside on the right of the box, an incorrect call.
Bednarek puts it behind on the right wing. Corner for Liverpool, again. Milner takes, and Southampton need a few attempts to get it out of the box.
Liverpool are putting on the pressure now, and Mane forces a sliding tackle from Valery to win a corner on the left wing.
Mane lifts a cross to the back post, but it's high and ponderous, easily headed away.

Mllner for Wijnaldum.
Keita runs onto Mane's pass into the box, and Yoshida slides into Keita in the box, and it's an obvious penalty. The referee gives nothing, and that could be a serious mistake if Liverpool don't get another.
James Milner will be on soon, the meat rectangle.
Southampton are calmly keeping the ball with Liverpool starting slowly again.

We go again.
Here's some tactical advice.
An earlier chance
- End of 1st Half
Right everyone, that's half time. See you shortly.
Firmino has room on the corner of the box for a shot, but he drags his effort wide. A minute's stoppage time is indicated.
An excellent break forward from Hojbjerg has Liverpool scarpering back, but nothing comes of it.
A tempting cross from Alexander-Arnold is just a couple of yards too close to the 'keeper.
Siri, find me buzzwords.
Southampton will want to get in level, so this is a chance for Liverpool to press their reticence.
Liverpool can feel the battle fever now.
- GoalNaby KeïtaLiverpool
GOAL! Southampton 1-1 Liverpool. Keita scores - Salah collects a ball over the top - he's sighty offside - and sendss in a cross. It's cleared, but Liverpool keep the pressure on and Naby Keita leaps at the back post to squeeze in a header from Alexander-Arnold's excellent cross. That's his first league goal for the club.
Yoshida appears to put in a vital interception to cut out a pass to Salah, but the Egyptian striker is ruled offside.
He might be saying a few zesty words at half time, it's true.

Liverpool have a spell in possession now, but so far Southampton are defending with intensity and organisation.
Valery brings down the ball on the left, but Robertson is on hand to take it off his toes and kill the attack. Liverpool were stretched, there.
Apparently Southampton have just five league victories in their last 26 home games.
Here's the goal btw, should you enjoy watching it as much as you like reading about it.
Liverpool have not yet found their feet after that goal. They're not in disarray, but they are - essentially - rubbish at the moment.
Bertrand pulls back a cross for Long after a dreadful Alexander-Arnold clearance, and the ball runs past the striker, forcing Van Dijk to stumble and lift the ball clear.
Southampton attempts to break forward but Ward-Prowse is tackled by Van Dijk on the right wing for a throw.
Matip jinks forward, lays it off to Salah, so he spins towards goal, picks out Sane with a cross and he heads firlmly towards goal only to see Gunn block it, and Keita can't squeeze it in at the near post. An escape for Southampton.
Redmond wins a corner on the left wing off Alexander-Arnold. Ward-Prowse will take.
Long rushes back to hack at Fabinho just inside the Southampton half. No yellow either, so the perfect, pointless obstruction to an opponent.

Well, Pep Guardiola will be happy.

The match gets underway. Van Dijk is booed.
Five minutes until the Adam Lallana Derby kicks off.

Southampton, meanwhile, could go 13th if they absolutely smash Liverpool 10-0. But a win would keep them out of the worst relegation trouble, you would imagine.
Naby Keita starts for Liverpool after a difficult season with the club, but there is no point getting alarmed - some players just take a year to properly adjust to a new club, and there's every chance that is going on here.
Something on Jurgen Klopp here.
Liverpool need a win to go back to the top of the table - however briefly, or not. A win would take them two points clear of Manchester City, who would then have a game in hand.
And the same for Liverpool.
Here's the Southampton team.
