City do not get the credit they deserve for their defending. Great block from Sane to deny Doucoure.

Watford still pressing to their credit, but Success cannot get the cross into the middle.

So clinical from City. Watford gave the ball away, David Silva threaded it through for Jesus, who picked out Mahrez at the back post, with the Algerian guiding the ball into the net at the back post.

David Silva has the first strike at goal, but that is always flying high, wide and not so handsome.

KICK OFF! We are up and running here at Vicarage Road.

So here we go. No Sergio Aguero for City, but there is threat from all around for Watford. City have won six in a row, scoring 22 goals in that time. They are 20 unbeaten in the league, a run stretching back to April. The wheels have come off at Watford, after such a sensational start to the season. They are winless in four, taking just one point in that time. They gave Liverpool a run for their money in their last home game, though. Something has to give!

Pep Guardiola likes what he sees in the Watford project, though: "Watford have some continuity around the same project, same ideas and same manager. It gives some stability to the club. Hopefully he [Javi Gracia] goes well and he can stay a long time there."

Pep Guardiola has welcomed the news

Not sure much practice is needed, given 11 goals on this ground in their last two visits...

Watford fans look away now - Manchester City are unbeaten in 13 away Premier League games, winning 10 and drawing three. In that run they've scored 30 goals, while conceding just five and never more than once in a match.

HEAD TO HEAD: Watford are winless in their eight Premier League meetings with Man City, losing each of the last six in a row (D2). City have scored at least twice in their last eight meetings with Watford in all competitions, winning all eight by an aggregate score of 27-4. City's last two away league games against Watford have seen them win 5-0 and 6-0 - the only team to score 5+ goals in three consecutive top-flight away games against an opponent is West Brom vs Birmingham, between December 1957 and April 1960.

Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of Manchester City's Premier League trip to Watford from Vicarage Road. The champions continued their fine form at the weekend with a 3-1 win over Bournemouth, and remain top of the table by two points. After a strong start to the season Watford have stuttered of late, and have picked up just one point in their last four league games. A win for City will put them five clear, with second-placed Liverpool not playing until Wednesday. I'm Pete Hall, and I will be bringing you the action, as it happens, live!
