Chelsea sub: Michy Batshuayi comes on for Abraham for the last five minutes or so.

The gaps are appearing in Brighton's defence at a more frequent rate now. Mount plays through Abraham, who rather unselfishly tries to roll it across to Hudson-Odoi, but there's not enough on his pass and Gross makes the interception.

Hudson-Odoi has been hugely impressive since his introduction. Lampard will be delighted to have the speedy flanker back.

Brighton sub: A final roll of the dice from the visitors. Glenn Murray replaces Maupay.

Great chance for Abraham! It hasn't been Tammy's day in front of goal. He's ushered through by Mount and tries to lift it over Ryan but the Brighton goalkeeper stays big and claws it behind for a corner.

GOAL! Chelsea 2-0 Brighton: Willian puts the game out of sight with a well-taken goal. Hudson-Odoi is the creator with his rapid pace, running 40 yards before switching it to the Brazilian. He powers a shot, it takes a deflection off Burns and slips past Ryan.

Off the woodwork! Brighton should be level! Burns slips away from his marker to meet the corner delivery, his header bounces off the surface, off the crossbar and over the bar.

Brighton almost equalise! Well, that would have been a surprise! Alzate skips past two defenders before letting fly, it takes a deflection off Jorginho, possibly hitting his hand, narrowly missing the bottom corner.

Lovely free-flowing football from Chelsea's front three. Abraham and Hudson-Odoi link up superbly on the left but the former overplays his pass to Willian on the right.

Chelsea sub: Kovacic replaces the disappointing Barkley.

Brighton sub: Aaron Connelly comes on for Mooy.

Chelsea sub: Callum Hudson-Odoi takes the place of Pedro. It's the youngster's first appearance since April.

Abraham should score! Brighton surrender possession in defence once more - this is almost comical - but Ryan is the hero again, making himself big to deny Abraham in a one-vs-one situation.

Brighton have their first attempt at goal! Bong's cross finds Gross unmarked but six yards out he heads over! It was a great chance to net an unlikely equaliser.

The visitors will have to improve, however. They have to register a shot at goal; Chelsea have had 20 efforts.
