Newcastle cough the ball up in their own half, and leave David Silva with a three on one. Silva rolls it to Sterling in the area, who strokes his shot past Dubravka into the bottom corner.

CHANCE! De Bruyne does brilliantly to get a long ball under control in the right corner, then back heels the ball to release David Silva into the area. Silva cuts past one defender but then blazes the ball high over the bar.

Gayle breaks dangerously for Newcastle as David Silva uncharacteristically gives the ball away. Just as Gayle reaches the area, Sterling gets back to poke the ball away from danger.

Two changes for Newcastle; Atsu and Muto are on, Ritchie and Yedlin depart.

De Bruyne picks out Doyle on the edge of the Newcastle area. Doyle opens up and shoots, but it's straight at Dubravka.

Bernardo Silva leads a break for City down the middle, travelling a good sixty yards with the ball. Walker overlaps for him on the right but Bernardo's ball to him is poor and Walker's cross is blocked.

Tommy Doyle is on for Mahrez.

EXCELLENT SAVE! Mahrez finds De Bruyne, who cuts it back to Silva just ten yards out. Silva drills it high at the goal but Dubravka does well to tip it over the bar.

De Bruyne finds Mahrez on the left of the Newcastle area. He drills in a low cross but it's straight into the hands of Dubravka.

There's still plenty of time left for City here, and everyone's looking in the mood here.

Bruce makes three changes just before the drinks break. Manquillo, Matty Longstaff and Gayle replace Shelvey, Lozaro and Joelinton.

What a player he is. David Silva plants the free kick over the wall and into the net with Dubravka's feet nailed to the floor.

A good chance for City here as Sterling is founled in a central position just outside the D.

De Bruyne finds Sterling with a smart pass into the penalty area. Sterling shifts it out of his feet and shoots but his effort is blocked.

More trouble for Newcastle here; Foden and Jesus might be going off, but Sterling and Bernardo Silva are coming on.

Newcastle have put through their own net. Jesus and Foden play a lightning one-two, and Jesus tip-toes through a few challenges in the Newcastle area. As he's about to shoot the ball ricochets off Fernandez from an attempted tackle, and goes in off the post with Dubravka flailing.

A looping Ritchie cross into the City area finds Joelinton. He tries to chest the ball down but can't get it under control, and a promising situation doesn't develop as a result.

Endless possession here for City. It's not resulting in shots on target, but it's domination.

Walker finds Foden in the Newcastle are with a raking 50 yard pass. Foden lays it inside to Silva, whose shot is deflected over the bar.
