FULL TIME! MANCHESTER CITY 2-0 SHEFFIELD UNITED. Far from City's best peformance, nor was it Sheffield United's either. City saw Liverpool win today and they could have given it all up - instead they chose to grind out a win here and remain only vaguely in contention for the title.

GOAL! Manchester City 2-0 Sheffield United. De Bruyne scores - De Bruyne flicks the ball to Mahrez, who dances past two players. De Bruye carries on his run and gets past the Algerian, who clips the ball into his path before he wrongfoots Henderson.

Aguero off for Foden, with Aguero taking the pee about the direction he shoud walk off, feiging ignorance.

McBurnie loses the ball in the box as City crowd out a counter-attack.

Sheffield United launch flick the ball up the channel for McBurnie, but he is ruled offside. United are yet to get a shot on target.

De Bruyne and and Mahrez line up a centrally placed free kick, about 23 yards out. Bruyne drills it over the wall and it never comes down enough.

Mahrez receives a great pass from Sterling in the box. He shifts the ball into space and leathers a shot at Egan that deflects wide.

Sheffield race forward on the counter. McGoldrick finds Baldock on the right. Aguero has tracked back and tackles, and boots it away in frustration at the rest of the side's careless attitude.

Baldock beats Zinchenko with a decent spin, Bravo flaps it to Mahrez who volleys clear.
