This United performance is full of all the old failings.

Wan-Bissaka carries it forward and exchanges passes with Greenwood, but a heavy touch means they have to settle for a throw, which comes to nothing.

There've not been many plusses for United tonight, but Maguire has responded well after a nightmare at the weekend.

Greenwood hares to the line and cuts back well, but the ball is a little behind Ighalo. He pulls it from around his arse, but can only direct his shot wide of the near post; that's United's first decent effort in quite some time.

There's not loads in this, but West Ham look the likelier scorers. Meanwhile, Masuaku leaves one on Wan-Bissaka and is booked.

United concede another free-kick, a petulant foul from Fernandes on Fornals giving West Ham another chance to stick a ball in the mixer. VAr checks for a red, because Fernandes swiped a hand away from his face, but sawn nothing untoward.
