PENALTY! Wood keeps a move alive and dinks back into the box, going down as he stretches for the bouncing ball. The referee immediately points to the spot and VAR upholds the decision.

The Hammers are growing into this game and Coufal twice finds space to get crosses in, but neither picks out a West Ham player.

West Ham break and are a given a second chance when Burnley fail to clear Antonio’s low cross. The ball breaks to Lanzini and he looks to curl a shot into the far top corner, but he can’t quite get it to dip in time.

The tempo is high but it’s not been a match of the highest quality so far. The conditions aren’t helping, although they aren’t quite as bad as what the West Brom and Wolves players experienced in the early kick-off.

McNeil tries to get a cross in on the overlap, but it’s blocked and deflects back off the Burnley man and behind. You can see what the plan is from the home side though.

Antonio has a pop from range, but his speculative effort skews well wide.

Burnley have had the better of the early exchanges at Turf Moor, looking to go quite aerial in the wet and windy conditions that are covering much of the UK this evening.
Just a reminder that there won’t be any social media embeds in this live tonight due to the boycott, which Eurosport are firmly a part of. This article explains a bit more about Eurosport’s position and stance on a huge and important issue.

West Ham, kitted out in their black and dark brown away strip, get the game underway. Burnley are in claret and white as usual.
But back to Turf Moor and the players are out and ready for kick-off.
The earlier kick-off is over and it’s a big one in the relegation scrap, with West Brom slipping even closer to the drop.
But for West Ham it’s a bit of an interesting one selection-wise. Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell both start despite reports that they would be unavailable through injury. Jarrod Bowen, Angelo Ogbonna, Mark Noble, Fabian Balbuena and Ryan Fredericks all lose their starting places. You can’t accuse Moyes of not acting, it’s now or never for his top four hopes I guess.
Burnley are unsurprisingly unchanged from the XI that started against Wolves. Sean Dyche will be looking for more of the same from his boys.
This game could have been much more significant for Burnley were it not for their 4-0 demolition of Wolves last time out. Those three points means that the Clarets are almost safe, and a win tonight would move them 12 points clear of Fulham and with a better goal difference, all-but sealing their Premier League status.

This is a huge game for West Ham’s European qualification ambitions. David Moyes has steered the Hammers into contention for a top four finish, but back-to-back losses (including a crucial defeat to Chelsea) means they’ve slipped to sixth. This is effectively their game in hand, and a win tonight would move West Ham back above Tottenham and within three points of Chelsea with four games remaining. Anything other than a win would leave those hopes of Champions League football hanging by a thread.
