Firmino leads a charge towards the left edge of the area. He lays it across for the Ox who can only drag a shot straight at Meslier.
Four minutes added.
That's a major blow for Liverpool's top four hopes - but the ESL may mean that doesn't matter too much.....
- GoalDiego LlorenteLeeds United
GOAL! Llorente is left free to level matters with a header from a right-wing corner.
- OffTyler RobertsLeeds United
- OnPablo HernándezLeeds United
LEEDS CHANGE: Hernandez on for Roberts.
Liverpool almost punish the hosts on the break. Salah rampages free but fires just wide of the far post under pressure.
Leeds have been by far the better side in this half but have yet to get the equaliser. Do they have one last big chance in them?
- OffDiogo JotaLiverpool
- OnAlex Oxlade-ChamberlainLiverpool
LIVERPOOL CHANGE: Jota off, Oxlade-Chamberlain on.
Meslier is forced to scramble back and flap the ball over his own bar from Jota's header after the keeper missed a right-wing corner. He's had a crazy couple of minutes but has got away with it.
Meslier's pass lands straight to Salah 25 yards out. The forward drives towards the area but sees his shot deflect just wide.
- OffEzgjan AlioskiLeeds United
- OnMateusz KlichLeeds United
LEEDS CHANGE: Klich on for Alioski.
WOW! That's another fine save from Alisson. Roberts glides on to a pass in the area but lashes his thumping shot too close to the Liverpool keeper.
WOODWORK! Bamford is left in acres of space through the middle to take down Ayling's high pass but his lobbed effort cannons back off the bar.
VIDEO: Alisson denies Harrison with a super stop.
- OffSadio ManéLiverpool
- OnMohamed SalahLiverpool
LIVERPOOL CHANGE: Mane off, Salah on.
Liverpool had a brief spell at the start of this half but since then it's been all Leeds.
SAVE! Alisson stretches out a long left leg to block Harrison's low shot from close range after lovely work on the left from Roberts.
- OffHélder CostaLeeds United
- OnIan Carlo PovedaLeeds United
LEEDS CHANGE: Poveda on for Costa.
Phillips arrows it into the six-yard box with an enticing trajectory but Bamford can't get there with a late run to try and beat Liverpool's high line.
Kabak catches Ayling to give Leeds a free kick in a dangerous position on the right.
Costa hooks over from close-range after Bamford flicked on a left-wing corner. Replays suggest the Leeds man was in an offside position, so it wouldn't have stood...
VAR is checking for a hand ball against Trent AA after the ball appeared to catch the defender when Bamford's jump missed a delivery from the right. A couple of Leeds players appealed but it won't be given as a spot kick.
300 up it seems!
Alioski sends a dangerous cross into the six-yard box from the left but Bamford can't quite get there. Alisson is caught out but Robertson makes sure it's defended with an important touch.
VIDEO: Meslier denies Firmino.
Jota surges down the left from inside his own half to the edge of the Leeds area. His cut back towards Mane is eventually cleared but once again you have to wonder about the lack of Leeds challenges.
This ESL announcement has really drained any positivity out of the once beautiful game at the moment.
Meslier bravely blocks at Mane's feet after Milner had hooked a superb cross towards the near-post run of the Reds forward.
Can Leeds produce an improved second-half showing and get themselves back into this clash?
CLOSE! Jota rises well to meet the resulting left-wing corner but powers his header over the crossbar.
SAVE! Firmino twinkle-toes his way into the left side of the area but sees his low drive pushed away by Meslier. Leeds didn't do enough to close him down there.
HALF CENTURY ON HE CARDS? Liverpool are one short of becoming the first club to record 50 top-flight victories against Leeds.
- 2nd Half
KICK OFF! Leeds get us back underway.
HT: Leeds 0-1 Liverpool.
Roberts side-foots a tame effort straight at Alisson from the left edge of the area after some nice work down the flank by Harrison.

- Yellow cardEzgjan AlioskiLeeds United
Alioski booked for hacking down Mane as he looked to break.
More on that Mane breakthrough.
Jota blazes over the top from the right side of the box after more brilliant running from Alexander Arnold.
That was Mane's 13th goal of the season and his eighth in the PL.
- GoalSadio ManéLiverpool
GOAL! Mane ends his goal drought with a simple pass into an empty net after Trent AA had charged on to a raking ball from Jota and touched it into his teammates path ahead of the advancing Meslier.
STAT: Liverpool have won five of their last six away PL matches, which is more than they had in their previous 15 on their travels.
- Yellow cardStuart DallasLeeds United
Dallas booked for dragging back Jota on the charge.
CLOSE! Bamford's heavy touch allows Alisson to come out and block after Phillips had capitalised on Fabinho's dreadful pass and set him free.
Kabak has a swipe at Harrison's devilish left-wing cross and is lucky to see it fly wide of his own goal. It could have gone anywhere as he stretched to keep the ball away from Bamford in the middle.
Another crucial tackle denies Liverpool. This time Jota is given too much space on the left side of the box before seeing his attempt deflected behind.
A banner in the sky earlier this evening...
Firmino cuts in from the left but sees his 25-yard curler land safely in the midriff of Meslier.
STAT: Leeds have only kept one clean sheet in their last 21 competitive matches versus Liverpool.
Alioski slides in and makes a vital, well-timed challenge on Jotas after the Reds forward turned in the box and got set to pull the trigger.
Liverpool catch Leeds with a high line at a free kick. Bamford swipes wide but he's well offside so it wouldn't have counted.
Indeed. Liverpool have actually made a good start too.
Strong words from Tony Evans. Get reading (while still following this live, of course!)
Frustration for Liverpool. Fabinho surges from deep and glides into the right side of the Leeds area without anyone making a challenge. He fakes the shot and clips it into the middle for Firmino, but his touch is too heavy and Mane can't make anything of it at the far post.
Meslier punches the resulting corner clear in a packed penalty area. The visitors try to keep the pressure on but a wayward delivery from the right ensures Leeds come away unscathed.
Thiago jinks past Phillips and unleashes a 30-yard drive that Meslier tips over the bar.
CLOSE! Firmino darts on to a long ball into the right channel. Meslier comes right out of his goal but the Brazilian forward can't guide his lifted effort on target.
DID YOU KNOW? Leeds could become just the second team in Premier League history to beat the league leaders and the reigning champions in consecutive matches, after Everton beat Chelsea and Manchester United in February 2010. Of course, Leeds defeated Man City last week.
Head to head in the league at Leeds: Liverpool 19 wins, 14 draws, Leeds 17 wins. /// Overall: Liverpool 52 wins, 25 draws, Leeds 24 wins.
- 1st Half
KICK OFF! Liverpool get us up and running.
A closer look at those t-shirts.... Hmmm. This could be a bit feisty - and it all gets underway in five.
Klopp watches the Leeds players warm up after seething about the t-shirts left in Liverpool's dressing room ahead of the contest.
Kalvin Phillips: “The high is still there from the Man City game and we know Liverpool haven’t been doing great, but they have started picking up a little bit of form, so it will be a good game. We are very excited and if it is anything like the first game of the season it will be one I’ll be very happy to be involved in. We’re not going to change the way we play and I don’t think Liverpool will change the way that they play. It will be exciting, it will be a good game, hopefully we can go one better and try to beat them this time!”
Andy Robertson: “Leeds are flying, they’ve been a breath of fresh air to the Premier League this season, the way they go about their business, the players they’ve got and the heart they’ve got as well. I think they showed that in abundance last week against Man City so we know it’s going to be an incredibly tough task, but it’s a task that we’re going to need to be up for and one that we need to face head on.”
Marcelo Bielsa on Leeds aiming to win four PL games on the spin for the first time in 20 years: "To win four games in a row in the Premier League compared to all the things that Leeds have achieved, of course it will give us great happiness, but if you compare it to all the things Leeds have achieved in their sporting history, it's not so big. To be able to be at the height of some of their past successes, some extraordinary things need to be done and we are quite far away from being there."
It's all a bit depressing, so shall we focus on some actual football. Last time these two teams met we were treated to an opening weekend classic. Same again?
VIDEO: Klopp on the proposed Super League.
Jurgen Klopp hasn't hidden in his pre-match media duties. Typically honest and clearly not in favour of the Super League, but there's only so much he can say. Social is a bit divided on what he had to say.
It's pretty clear what most people think about the proposed ESL.
That's the team news done. Here's more fall-out from the announcement of plans for the European Super League.
Notably for the home team, there's no Raphinha and Cooper is also out (suspended).
Two changes for Liverpool from their CL draw with Real Madrid. The stand-out one is that Mo Salah drops to the bench with Diogo Jota coming in. Thiago replaces Nat Phillips (hamstring problem) which means Fabinho will most likely feature in defence.
