STAT: Sterling has scored an unrivalled 35 goals among Premier League players in all competitions since the start of last season.

Mahrez cuts in from the right once again and pulls the trigger. Leno gets down well to smother and hang on tight.

One minute added. Walker tries to defend a corner with a high boot. Gabriel takes it down and sees his shot blocked. No interest from VAR it seems... Could Arsenal have had a penalty?

42'

The visitors get in again. Pepe diverts a pass through for Aubameyang, but again Ederson is out well to thwart his thumping shot.

40'

It can change very fast though! Tierney and Saka wreak havoc on the left. Saka plays a one-two with Aubameyang to get in-behind the City defence, but Ederson rushes off his line and makes a brilliant save to deny the Arsenal youngster.

39'

Not a good stat for Arsenal - touches in opponents box: Man City 17-3 Arsenal.

3'

Head-to-head: Man City have won seven of the last nine, remaining unbeaten in that time. Arsenal are hoping to avoid losing seven league matches in a row against the same opponent for the first time since doing so v Ipswich between 1974 and 1977.

2'

City almost grab the lead inside 60 seconds. Mahrez cuts in from the right, exchanges passes with Sterling and whips a super, curling attempt inches past the far post.

17.10

DID YOU KNOW? Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has played 450 Premier League minutes without scoring against Manchester City, his worst record against any side in England. He missed a penalty in this fixture in March 2018 - but DID score both goals in Arsenal's FA Cup semi-final win against City last season.

As for Guardiola, he isn’t a fan of the master v apprentice headlines when he locks horns with Arteta: "Maybe we should clarify who's the master and who's the apprentice first. All the people who know him, we didn't have any doubts about what he's doing in a short period of time. He settled really well and the way his team is playing right now is perfect for the quality they have. He was able to get Arsenal back to the position where they were a long time ago. He's doing really well in all competitions. Mikel is a competitor and a fighter. All the people who love him, we are more than happy with what he's doing in London."

Mikel Arteta may not have included new £45m signing, Thomas Partey from the off today, but he’s expecting big things from the former Atletico man soon: "I've seen the buzz around the place. The fans are really happy, I've seen some really positive reactions. The same with the team and staff. We have rated him for a long time."

The big news for Man City is that Sergio Aguero is deemed fit to return to the starting XI. The Argentina international features for the first time this season after limping off with a knee injury v Burnley on June 22. No Kevin de Bruyne or Aymeric Laporte for the hosts though. Meanwhile, Arsenal leave new £45m signing, Thomas Partey on the bench.
